UDA all the way -... ROBOT: Here's your paper, Mizzuz! elaine: very very loving this one fuzzytank, although i'm sure i nearly just had an epiletic fit scrolling it, so i am glad it is slow in realtime
elaine: liking the title, twitcher pete. and good point, kobe, there clearly is a pet bird. i agree, it's like 'no parking' etc, if there is someone parking there, then there clearly is parking. except this one spot by the river at richmond, which people don't realise is tidal... elaine: toot toot to cement thing
he doesn't give a hoot elaine: ro - bots... i see robots. i am seeing robots a lot, doctor... kobe: theres totally a rave party going on in that structure, i believe kobe: this is making me laugh. where does water come from? why, from the water lorry of course! kobe: that water is really blue for an urban seafront! kobe: for a phone-cam, those colors are tops. look at that red and green. im starting to fancy these little phone-posts of ubiquitous stuff. they are always really interesting and on point..... kobe: yea natali with writing like this id love to see more. what part of uk u live in? im from there, and i think jamie, elaine, hasslehoff, "a disturbed young man" and steelisreal are from here too. wow, thats like half the people that post here regularly. big ups! kobe: look mum! i learned how to use citynoise html! 8-D
www.5ptz.com/ Peter: ahh, that place! i never knew it had a name. i know what youre talking about now... i should go there in person, though... ive just seen it online.
thanks! Stacey: Its on Jackson Ave and Crane Street - PS 1 you can see it as you ride the elevated 7 train its a warehouse/studio called 5 Pointz - Institute of Higher Burning. I have gone to some of their "old school" venues - (I rather consider myself a vintage... Peter: cool, natali! glad you like the concept. feel free to post/comment/link anytime- with contributions like this one, youre welcoem here anytime :) Natali: Wow, thanks guys! I really didn't think it would have that much of an impact. Like I said on my site, I really really love the concept of citynoise, so I'll do as much as I can to contribute. Peter: viva le CEMENT THING! Peter: nope... unfortunately, my experiences with queens are limited to the kissena velodrome, laguardia, flushing meadows/corona park and the isamu noguchi sculpture garden... whats 5-points? i know about 5-points in ATL, but not nyc... fill me in, yo :) kobe: i declare! that didnt work. i guess they dont show on their own. you do recieve my meaning though i am sure, those weird bracket thingers that make up that special citynoise HTML.... kobe: LOL! this cement thing phenomenon has taken a life of its own much like a subtle inside-citynoise-joke.... as has the increased use of linking thanks to the " " meme! Stacey: Also have you seen 5 pointz in Queens. Some beautiful pieces there. ...: wooow that is amazing...good job!keep like that Peter: thanks, caracarn :) kobe: wow, mate. this is a bloody good read. thanks! God save Ireland: DISBAND THE RUC. These thugs in uniform.
Send the English back to sea.
Ireland unfree will never be at peace! Jamie: this article has a lot of links to PET BIRD Jamie: Is the sea there because someone left the tap (faucet) on? Peter: today, when i passed the "no parking" sign, still emblazoned with lionel in all his monochrome glory, there was a woman standing in front of it, trying to light a cigarette while staring at lionel with utter confusion. it was a sublime momentary epiphany of the "art" connecting with the... Peter: nice. Peter: kobe: indeed... pet bird is everywhere! Peter: this is totally one of my favorite photos on this site. Peter: also: im pleased with how some of my cameraphone pics are turning out lately. i think im finally getting the hang of what sort of light i need, as well as getting good at tweaking the very limited levels of saturation/exposure. particularly the first two photos... Peter: i dont know, and frankly, i dont want to know either! heh. it was hard enough to get close enough to get a photo of it... blood in public is gross, especially when its in newark. Jamie: Pet Bird rocks Jamie: what happened there? kobe: ive never heard of zoltron, probably cause im not from san francisco, but i m really enjoying his posts. kobe: wtf! this photo is amazing, hool. Stacey: I was too long, long time ago. Still has a special place in my heart. :) Keep up the great work Peter: on the revolving subway-exit turnstyle that i go through every day at the park place 2/3 stop (on my way to the PATH), there is a sticker that says "amplify love, dissapate hate". it never fails to put me in a proper mood for the commute. i also find it... kobe: the photo looks as if it says NO Pet Bird. if that was the case, i would have to say that they are very wrong, as there is indeed a pet bird there. kobe: that last photo of the blood is bloody disgusting.
i dont even want to know what happened there, mate. kobe: the art is sharp, but i must admit that its the girl who is smoking hot here. now thats my sort of girl. sally: i really hate revolving doors. Peter: here's another I found yesterday on the way home:
elaine: nasty boy, bad boy, back in your box Peter: how perfectly put, PRPoet. i couldnt agree more. Peter: it was from when he had a bike wreck a year or so ago... and if you ask me- yes, im going to go ahead and say what everyone is thinking- its a damn shame he didnt get hurt alot worse, heh >:)
he is a creepy, evil man; he is... Jamie: i like this:
Punch a crip
In the lip
and let the true color drip Peter: random tangents are teh spice of life, yo!
PRPoet: It's funny to me that I've checked out this site for a while and a lot of peole overlook what this spot is about. I grew up in Humboldt Park and saw things that no one should have to or even want to. When a little kid dies... Peter: im still curious what 5 poppin/6 Droppin means. much respect to all here, but itd be nice if whomever of you knows whats up might take a moment and translate some of these taglines for us, you know, just for curiosity's sake, considering that most of us here are clueless... julie andrews: this thread has degenerated dreadfully Peter: stacey: i suppose one could say that graf is a major point of interest for me, yes elaine: cheers matey, none more so than me Peter: im more hung up on the lincoln navigator, hahahaha. those are some fat-ass rims, yo. Peter: yay! and were glad youre here, btw. elaine: or bender's friend from when they rob banks Peter: the crips/bloods would probably win that one, cause theyre usually packing, heh! its just that... well, you can expect such rants/drivvel from gangbangers, but the endless back-and-forth re: ireland seems particularly maddening lately. elaine: it probably doesn't just look creepy, it probably is creepy. he is creepy, and my guess is he is doing something creepy Peter: looks like a "cherry picker"... Peter: cool. i just like the blood-splattered bushface photo. it looks creepy. elaine: london is the centre of the world, that is the main thing to remember, and everything is all about the GPO Peter: village bicycle, heh! Peter: ill toss that link o nthe about page in a sec...
www.citynoise.org/about.php elaine: we already were... especially by television
i didn't think i was bothered if george snagged it, or if oona just got a hiding but slipped in, but i am glad to have the anti war bloke, and he is, it turns out big chummies with tony benn, possibly the best... Peter: the uk has a much better nomenclature system for its motorways than america does. im sure ours made sense way back when, but since teh nationwide interstate highway program in the 1950s, everything got muddled... and now there are like 10 different ways to name major highways/interstates/parkways/turnpikes/roads/streets/avenues and no one... Jamie: this is true elaine: not as much as you fancy yourself, big boy! elaine: i am loving the hool lately, and what i have noticed is now if it is sunny and people throw shadows, i just see the world as a big hool sculpture. i got that with cezanne when i saw the hills in the south of france too, but this is... Jamie: By the way stop stalking me please. You so fancy me. elaine: i could not do pictures. i took my camera - no memory card. i got to the dentiss, 24 hours late. that's the second time this week. there is something awry. 24 hours is less weird than 12, though Peter: apparently the phrase "bad photo" doesnt exist in your world, hool. i love the one of the guy wit hthe tape in his mouth. and the dog.
...and i gotta admit, you cracked me up, fuzzytank, with your edit :) elaine: i done that Peter: how pleasant... also: i like how the past few entries have been text... good reading to start my day. Peter: you will be assimilated!

link and link alike ^_^ Peter: woah! i think theres something like this in times square, as i used to see similarly fluxing colors from my window when i lived there. i like the series of shots here. good, as always! Peter: yeah, i liked this. a good read, for sure, and definitely something you put alot of thought into. thanks for sharing it with us. id love to see/hear more about bristol graf... Jamie: yes, the A1139 (Fletton Parkway) majestically meets the A47 somewhere on the east side of town taking one neatly to Kings Lynn. elaine: hahahahaha. respect. we got respect now. is it because bethnal green is black? elaine: i know that particular blue box now you mention it. before my car died and my back banjaxed i used to drive up to brixworth to visit people then hoop over to kings lynn, and i'd see it. i wondered why my shopping addicted friend wasn't appropriately ikea'd up to... Dat 5 poppin and that 6 Droppin ... ballsack: that's kind of beautiful, but really a shame
am i naive to think that architecture can give hope and/or change someone's life for the better? ballsack: Appreciate the comment, but I hope you weren't totally serious about that. You are ok. Keep hope alive! ballsack: I love how huge that television looks. I don't know if you were trying to send a message with that photo, but it says to me, "TV is everywhere. You can't escape it." That's increasingly true, and I hate it. But that's not to say I... Dickriqulous: All due respect to James, but Central Park is truly special. Quite a bit more than "for the tourists." Especially up near the Harlem end, where it is far from a "circus-type atmosphere." Riverside Park is stunning in its own right, but I feel like there was... vz: the express in the photo is in the mall level of an office tower built in the 80s, liberty place. though the architects' deferential nod to the building across the street -- copying of its color scheme and imitating its extravagant art deco flourishes in the most watered down, post-... elvenporn: good work, please continue :) Previous Day :: Next Day |
