Previous Day :: Next Dayjeeff: maybe i'll grab my hockey stick and rubber boots and go practice some civic disobedience. Biff: This must be the home rink of the Mighty Ducks... jeeff: funny you mention places of worship, another snare tag was spotted on the sign of the neighbourhood's recently-closed church. Peter: yeah, thats what i thought... in which case, i think:
a) this was probably done by a bored lower-middleclass white guy in his late teens who cant find anywhere better to get up than the sign to his community, and out of frustration, figured hed tag up the sign.
b) he is... jeeff: its a bunch of slightly shabby riverside apartments (like townhouses). elaine: the source of our thames is a muddy field somewhere here: www.thamespilot.org.uk/ixbin/hix . . . _thameshead&s=OQjUtR4WVi3 but beyond that initial confusion nothing like as complex as the tributaries that make up the source of yours EvilGentleman: Well, as of midnight this morning, the ashtrays were pulled out of the bars and smoking is no longer permitted. Due to the late hour, it was hard to determine if the smoke is filling up the sidewalks or not, but there were definitely a lot of barflys on the... Catherine Penfold-Waxman: sorry. that was mean and nasty. I'll go and be inhumane to myself now. sorry. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: I think those are its lungs hanging out. Unless it's a robin. Peter: is "river park" an actual park, or is it (as it appears to be from the style of signage) some sort of suburban subdivision? jeeff: elaine:

gives me a bit of the shivers though, it reminds me of pictures of buses parked up in a lot while new orleans drowned. Peter: photos of the same building, almost a year later... no one touched the sane piece, and rightfully so:
Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Maybe the mouse hung itself with the hair extension. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: oh so true, too. elaine: great snag. elaine: nice squished mouse, sets off the hair lovely.
it must be lovely living in new york, home of shedding hair. (are there similarly lost nail extensions or are they glued on too tight?) anon (wnpgmb01dc2-25-214.dynamic.mts.net): Attention Smoking Cessation
Re: Smokers Edge
There is no question more Canadians are anxious to quit smoking as a result of anti-smoking regulations and by-law’s in effect throughout Canada. Many smokers who once thought about quitting are getting serious this time. With the price of cigarettes, the difficulty finding a place to... groovehouse: awesome photo! thanks for posting! sam chhin: i like the buliding they are very tall anon (216.186.53.53): very nice tall bulidings i like the bulidings. Peter: since i was at coney island this past weekend, i snapped a photo of the same sign (but fixed), almost one year later:
Peter: awesome photo. i love how the shadow fades from light to dark. these are some of my favorite sorts of entries too- a good photo and a little bit of explanation to flesh it out...
anyway, welcome to citynoise! id love to see more of your photos... MACHE: There goes my hero... Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Great shot! I think I see a vampire inthe shadows. elaine: what would be really cool would be if i could get one way glass and nest boxes, now that would be fab.
some of the birds are messy eaters (yes, i mean you, green finches) but they are not very wasteful and i think that they would not be keen to... kc: Yeah, that rat issue I imagine would be more about the shells falling to the ground below...although rats and mice don't really seem to follow the chipmunk/squirrel predilection for seed eating--or hiding! Used to have a feeder upstate, and I once found a boot in an upstairs closet filled with... elaine: the plans look like they are going to dwarf the tower. shame on them. jeeff: really nice lighting. i've tried to take photos down some similar tunnels and found it pretty difficult to capture the mood. rob: I was watering my grass and reeling my hose in and heard sound in the branches, at first I thought it was the leaves moving from the woater hitting them or rats, since the sound was not going away it seemed to be getting closer and closer so I just... buddah: grafitti is not a crime it is art of a great form. theres nothing wrong with someone wrighting there name on a wall.LEGALIZE GRAFITI - THE WRIGHTING ON THE WALL... Chris Erb: That's a really neat photo. Did you get any more pictures from inside the tunnel?

DEXTone : ya JA is the shit and im just starting to get up and have done a couple bombs and saw that saber piece dat JA destroyed and hit up along the river but damm JA is kraze but is he going 2 come again i like him to tag my... you might've offered a link or something, unless you just like being mysterious, which is ok too.
anyway...these are very cool images, i live on the other end of the country, so it's nice to catch a glimpse... elaine: ps. tyfoid kid, that kitty would definitely be more than a deterrent, i can see those claws itching to get some killa action. elaine: i am on the 4th floor, and although rats can climb, i don't know that they would come up specially. i did see a squirrel on the roof of the opposite building once, but i think that was a bit of a fluke - i don't know if even he...
