Previous Day :: Next DayEvilGentleman: Awesome, what more can I say? EvilGentleman: Postcard quality, quite impressive. EvilGentleman: More wow. Kinda speechless... EvilGentleman: wow upfromflames: guess they stopped caring! Exellent irony detection, making an excellent photo. procyon: mmmmm indykid: Berlin is my favourite city! Seeing your 8th photo from the top reminds of my first trip there - the automatic escalators that only run when someone approaches them scared the crap out of me at the airport! Tim: Such great story telling Tim: That is rediculous to say the least... but how do you class that as a SUV, its small as Lea: Thanks! Lea: Thanks Peter, I'm glad you like it! CE: A description of the Red Light District which the last picture shows a glimpse of can be found in this post. CE: It is important to remember that every city has many different faces and this is just one of them. Montreal has the ability to change drastically from one block to another. Just a short walk from where these pictures were taken is one of the largest and nicest... Peter: i cant wait to see the resulting photos, man!
p.s: this is a great post, lea. your recent posts have been outstanding! Donald Walters: I challenge any Hutch resident to name me TEN particular, redeeming, specific traits about the town that make it "special". And not stuff like "it's a good town! the people are cool!" but real, specific things. sbfskillz: Hutchinson is not a POS town. I have seen the world and lived in many different locations on the globe. To say that Hutch is really nothing special is shallow, and indifferent. I guess everyone has their own opinion.
But I still say that, no matter where you live, you can... hool: nice. i just arrived in berlin about two hours ago. i'll be hitting the streets starting tomorrow. EvilGentleman: From what I remember of what my mother told me about the two years in the 1960's when she lived in France, Paris is 1000 times "grittier". colavitos ghost: a question: who are the "squeegees"? colavitos ghost: in these pictures, montreal appears a little bit dirtier than i've always imagined it. i don't mean dirty in a bad way, just kind of gritty. a lot more american than european.
i suppose the presence of the french language doesn't mean it's actually IN france. kobie: well a lot of these tenements probably arent even housing association or council owned anymore cos a lot of the people who live in these better quality tenements usually buy them then sell them and move on.usually some landlord will buy them and rent them to students or young couples... Biff: Wow! Carlsberg! Great shots... Lea: If you fell like seeing some of my Vancouver pictures, you can just search for "Lea, Vancouver." Greg: The top piece has also been done on a door near Prahran station, city bound side. Greg: The milk crate men have struck back, there are now 4 of them placed on a factory or warehouse. Some friends of a friend made them.... Biff: That's because it's on Parliament Hill... SABRINA: Kids Will Be Kids But You Know The Police Officers Shouldn't Have Left It Alone That Easy.Someone Could Had Got Seriously Hurt Thank God No One Did But Becareful Next Time.

Cay: I started out hopeful and willing and embracing the challenge of fitting in and making it work. I'm just sharing with those who care to listen to go about their business, and deal with their personal safety. If cheap rent and large loft space are the draw, remember, you... Lea:

Johnny Ramone would of stopped by in the van if he was in the area! pearlseeker: We live on a farm. We have about 15 feral cats...and now 2 raccoons! When I call the cats to eat, the raccoons come out to eat, too! They act like they think THEY are cats, too. The cats and raccoons get along OK, but the... upfromflames: Woodbine street, to be exact. Between Central and Evergreen. These blocks are chocked full of such quaint decrepitude. Pay them a visit sometime. You'll find no similar place in the city, I think. seaqueue: I was really surprised to learn the other day that St. James Cathedral is (just barely) taller than the Peace Tower in Ottawa. The Peace Tower seems like a much taller structure for some reason. Mushi: There are mean people everywhere in this city, whether it's Bushwick, Sunnyside, Park Slope, the Upper Eastside, Soho...it doesn't matter.
People with attitudes like some mentioned above really upset me. Yeah, I'd love to live in Woodside. I'd love to live in Manhattan. But I'll never get a place as... farul: Yea, Bushwick is different than it was before. Cuz back in the day, they'd have got popped. Now they just get held up. Heh. Previous Day :: Next Day |
