Previous Day :: Next DayEvilGentleman: Boy, tell me about it. Wanna have a booger-flicking contest? LOL nowyoucee: hey this guy was on the news everyone is hunting for him . Laura : It looks like a painting. Biff: This could be the start of a land claim, but I forget or never knew what became of the California first peoples. sherri: Wow...quiet in here once we stopped fighting.... Biff: Looks like there's some History here... Biff: It looks like Chopin. All those runs definitely keyboard...or Harp? chiamattt: That is very cool.
sick of society: Acts like this make me feel ok with my complete lack of faith in the human race. Tim Z: That is something to smile about. If there's one thing that tells me that the universe is not to be taken seriously, it's small mammals frozen in blocks of ice. Walks now: Does anybody know the shops in TO that buy stolen bikes? (I know theres one in the Anex somewhere) .... time to start looking.
RIP (this is the exact model bike I lost but this is not the bike itself) Walks now: The lock is the new style (no bic job) and it was locked to a metal railing. Yeah, that is the bar they used too. (FYI - I lost my key last year and rented a small grinder and cut an identical lock apart to get my bike free. It... Ty-Ty: It's just so cool 2 learn and see about beautiful places like this! Peter: ...looks to me like the pipe in the lock is what they used to pop the lock. isnert pipe/2x4/etc and torque til it pops. :( steelisreal: dude what did you lock to a tree?
Tyfoid Kid: Is this one of the old Kryptonite locks that you can open with the barrel of a bic pen? I did it with my old Kryptonite style lock but I heard Kryptonite locks did have this problem as well. They had some kind of recall announcment last year.
www.engadget.com/2004/09/14/kryp . . . lock-hacked-by-a-bic-pen/ EvilGentleman: I will not be buying a kryptolock, that is for sure. Peter: :( Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Maybe this picture will help the cops track it down.
(Joking aside, having your bike ripped off sucks. I hope you get it back or an even better one in its place.) Peter: noise, noise, citynoise! EvilGentleman: awesome, as far as the city-sorting goes.
the peter-kebab is something else, all right. Good artwork, not so sure about the pose, mind you. LOL And the upper lip area looks a bit Fuhrer-like... or worse yet, Leah-beating motorist-like. Poor Peter... sort of like ppl that keep telling me I look... anon (host86-134-189-249.range86-134.btcentralplus.com): hey peolpe im sort of young i mean really young inm 12

Peter: instant graf-writer wannabe kit:
1. 13 cans of ok/shitty spraypaint
2. 4 markers
3. two bags of caps (extra points if purchased online, from bombingscience or whatnot)
4. one pile of dirt-weed
5. a mishmash of playstation games/lo-fi graf dvds
(LA cap and middle-finger optional...) male perspective: I don't know about the rest but I for one appreciate it when a woman sits down across from me with her hooch hanging out... I also like the gals who wear the slightly see through tops with no harness...and there is a cool breeze. I might even tip her... Nuvolari: reminds me my old school, the different being it was on top of a huge 10 storeys building, and the road down was 8 lanes instead of 3..... i really lost some balls back then. elaine: aw!
INNIT! Jamie:
Oh and by the way, here's the peter-kebab-face pic in it's original form, from my sketchbook. mihaela: graff rulz
Jamie: it's true we need better nonclemature when it comes to city naming conventions.. though at present Astoria, Queens, NY articles do appear in the list for Queens, NY
see for yourself
www.citynoise.org/hood/queens@ny
www.citynoise.org/hood/astoria@queens@ny
and furthermore, NY www.citynoise.org/hood/ny
lists everything under NY
but it all relies on people sticking to the same naming convention. You've brought up... EvilGentleman: Say, is there any way that cities could be linked together? For example, "Astoria, Queens, NY" could still appear as-is, but would also appear on the lists for Queens, NY and New York, NY. This could result in more accurate article counts for cities, since at the moment, I notice... Girl: I like em.. Loving the euro style, its just a bit more fun and that n different from the 'london' style i see too much of... EvilGentleman: Peter-kebab-face sounds cool, wish I could see it. elaine: aw, peter-kebab-face.
innit. EvilGentleman: Carmen, what is wrong with you? Don't you know that burning textiles with butane releases pollutants into the air? Use the acid next time, it will dilute faster.
But seriously, enjoy your time in prison, and maybe if you are good, they will let you have a conjugal visit in Ossining... Jamie: "Was I right about the intent of the original snowflake logo"
Not as such. it was added last christmas and never got changed back to the peter-kebab-face logo Carmen: the last time some perv flashed me I gave him a shoe in the nuts. The next time I saw him my boyfriend broke the perv's nose. The third time we tied him up and rolled him into a river after lighting him on fire with butane. ... elaine: jeeff, you can't do this on a drawing board, you need a computer! elaine: nice work, detective ggp elaine: harr!
mine was recentish but undatable by me, since i arrived during the great russian spam crash of 2005, so my earliest ones are reposts. A Poet in Philadelphia: Correction on second sentence of the above - meant to say I agree with the comments of the previous writer, not that I agree with "them" meaning the conservative US view. A Poet in Philadelphia: Having lived in Belfast several times, I can agree wholeheartedly with the above comment that the change begins with the person in the mirror. And having lived in the US for most of my life, I can absolutely agree with them. Here in America we are in the... EvilGentleman: Ironically, I have had ambulances impede my driving, as they go too slow around curves, even with their lights flashing. I guess maybe they are too top-heavy, or they have to be cautious of the condition of the patient inside. Either way, I always give them space, although I shocked... EvilGentleman: This sounds very promising. I love Citynoise, I can hardly wait to see Citynoise Plus. Your devotion to your labour of love is very much appreciated by those of us who also benefit from it. Thank you.
jeeff: I must admit, this new logo sure does a better job to evoke... A Girl 2: No one has even mentioned the fact that it was 9:45PM and the pervert was wearing sunglasses on the train!!!! Come on people, this is sexual harrassment anyway you slice it and not apreciated by most people. Next you will see the idiot on Datelines series "To... Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Happy Citnoise Day!
I wish you many more to come. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Love it. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: yippie: I don't know why you hate NYC so much. Perhaps you lived here and it wasn't to your liking. Fine.
I've lived in what I consider to be the most interesting, diverse and exciting city for many years. But when the sirens no longer lull me to sleep and... FUCK NYC:
Jamie: EvilGent: Reast assured, it's all in the pipeline :-)
jeeff: love the new logo shelleyb: looking to move to bk, but what neighborhood? need cheap rent, too. joey: perhaps we should focus on the magical space of her detachment. drea: that's a really good shot Angel: yo i heard that this school mad bad yall people some posers sayin good things about this school [[lol]] but i really dont know any thing so i wont judge it EvilGentleman: Actually, I just had a possible idea. You know how you can organize the contents of Win XP folders by different criteria such as date, filename, file type, etc? Why not organize Citynoise lists in the same manner?
For example, I select the Toronto page, and it shows a list of... GGP: my favorite architectural structure, bar none. i used to spend my summers living in a tipi in vermont. an elegant, portable home. the top flaps can be opened to allow smoke from the firepit to leave, or to cool the tipi on warm nights (and to view the night sky).... jeeff: shit, back to the drawing board. GGP: you are perfect as you are, ea.
i am so happy to see you posting again. Seymour: Great limbs and nice ankles... EvilGentleman: Ahhh, road trips. Nothing in life is better. Nothing. Especially the ones where you just go, and where you wind up, who knows?
What's down that road?
Only one way to find out.
Where does it end?
Let's find that out, too.
Um, are there usually Arizona Highway Patrol cars 100 miles inside Utah?
Apparently so,... ea: torn...soften...ah! when I grow up maybe I'll be a writer too Chris Erb: I'm not sure what you did with the banner but the right side building no longer blends in with the rest of the black. I really liked how it did that. JMac: Hey Janet:
How about some pics from NZ??? I vacationed there and was thoroughly impressed jeeff: he does look kind of peeved. probably at the dainty crook of your little finger. GGP: e- "i blame the moon" sounds like a great name for a pre-menopausal memoir...I might have to borrow that!!
p- i remember this view well...or somewhat...from my old rooftop days when i resided on park place bt. flat and vand. thanks for the memories! I'll have to put them in my... GGP: nice limbs! they almost upstage the blossoms! yippie skippie: NYC is a cesspool, maybe you live in a less stinky area with better ventilation, and don't venture into the nastier parts like South Bronx, Harlem, Washington Heights and Bedford-Stuyvesant, or Brooklyn.... but the nastier elements come into your areas, guaranteed, as you feel you have witnessed. Granted there... BOC: Ya think it cute to move to Bushwick. Ya don't know what ya doing to our neighborhood. It is known when white people move into to the neighborhood the price value of houses go up and rent soon enough us blacks and Hispanics have to move out cuz we can't... ea: you wanna see houdini, donchu. I can tell. but he doesn't want to be seen! he's so irritated at suffering the utter humiliation of cuteness! ah well, he could use some character building

GGP: i love sea turtles--wizened, poignant--they look at you like they know what the hell is up.
and ridiculosity--absurdity with velocity...good. GGP: i love sea turtles--wizened, poignant--they look at you like they know what the hell is up.
