Previous Day :: Next Day

little ukraine: glad to see more, upfromflames; i'd been meaning to comment that i went to the exhibit last friday - outstanding!! fascinating stuff, well worth the visit. i spent about twnety minutes staring at that last pic you posted here.

in response to Bushwick: Municipal Tag

KB: Lived in Bushwick on Eldert Street, btw Knickerbocker & Irving, from when I was born, until we moved away in 1967, when I was 16. Things had gotten rough in 1966, when there was racial strife, and murder. Sad, stupid, tragic. It happened. We left. What was...

in response to My House in Bushwick

Peter: that last shot is amazing... isnt that about where ave and ave intersect... at the ? im still learning the neighborhood... i think i recall you mentioning that the (that brown clump of homogeneous public housing buildings built in about 1960, for the rest of you)...

in response to Bushwick: Municipal Tag

Hey Staci: Hey Staci, I am a graphic/web designer, could help you out in that.

in response to Humboldt Park

Carol: Joe has the right to express his feelings. Citizens have the right to disagree. Free speech does not include only what we WANT to hear and see. Removing that "flag" only made Joe's opinion find more ears and eyes. I personally would like to thank the National Park Police for...

in response to Floyd Bennett Field: Let All Flags Fly

jack: very interesting upfromflames, your doing good work with your life, very inspiring.

in response to Bushwick: Municipal Tag

jack: thx

in response to Miami Youth Faces \'Serious Jail Time\':

From Wisconsin: I was in Norway last Christmas, Had stick meat lamb (I didn't like it at all). The Polsa was awesome! I cant find a dog like that here in Wisconsin. I also like some sort of middle eastern wrap type thing I had in Bergen. Rice pudding was very interesting....

in response to Typical Norwegian Food

Mackenzie: I'm from east London and i want to find others that are intested in doing it as i am. so if you want to get hold of me add my msn mac_10_is@hotmail.co.uk

in response to Le Parkour: An Introduction

Diz$eh: Nice Pictures! :-)

in response to Eyes

upfromflames: great article on Bushwick in this week's Village Voice www.villagevoice.com/news/0726,r . . . 0726,robbins,77040,2.html

in response to My House in Bushwick

CartLegger: There is an attachment that FDNY offers to kids, that you might have seen around NYC. It puts a meager arc of spray that does a small part of the job at a much smaller cost. I don't see these folks calling 311 for it.

in response to School\'s Out for Summer!

colavitos ghost: i read in the newspaper last year that each hour a hydrant is left open like this, it costs the city 8,000 dollars!!! it's a cool way to cool off, but you're right, Cart, it's not really a logistically solid option.

in response to School\'s Out for Summer!

Peter: lol... . also: the first one looks a little scary, driving that mobility- in traffic...

in response to June 22, 2007

Peter: i got a bunch of similar pictures yesterday... ill post em later today when i get em uploaded from my camera :)

in response to School\'s Out for Summer!

Taylor: lol. I'd be so mad if that was done to my sink or house.

in response to Sink Graffiti: before and after

anon (cpe-68-173-10-99.nyc.res.rr.com): Ahhh... summer in the city :)

in response to School\'s Out for Summer!

Trudy: There are not enough criminals for the National Park Police to catch - so they have to justify their jobs. Taking Joes Flag must have made their quota of tickets to be issued. The way of a bureaucracy (our government) is people at work - getting a paycheck...

in response to Floyd Bennett Field: Let All Flags Fly

fashion chic: In the last second picture, i'm wondering what those women are looking at!
