Previous Day :: Next Dayelaine: somebody has tagged over these grafs now, very rude, i call it elaine: the clue is in the title, peter! i would be very surprised if they did anything less than a total razing and rebuild, this place is banjaxed bayonne kingz: the only bayonne motherfucker bridge is in St Esprit (France/Bayonne city) Peter: wow, that montage is great! i love the little guy i nthe yellow vest, too. funny. are they renovating those places or something? Peter: good luck ever finding one of those locked up randomly around the city... that shit is usually either being ridden or safely protected indoors ;) Peter: sixy seeker: then why do you persist in looking for that sort of stuff on this site? you might have better luck elsewhere, you know, on a site thats a little more on-topic with that sort of thing than this one. BZZZP: i need to start carrying around some detonating cord to "liberate" an aero like that... sixy seeker: i wont to see sixy sixy like www.google.com.sa/search?biw=605 . . . =sixy%20man%20photo&meta= Peter: check it... the ad campaign everyone is talking about: www.aquariusesjusto.com Peter: if i had a dollar for every time i had to listen to Columba Aspexit in my college music humanities coursework... oh man, its permanently stuck in my head after reading this.... hmm. Peter: navigating the waters of things left unsaid that should have been said is always treacherous, especially in hindsight... you hope that either you find (or create?) another opportunity to somehow communicate the unsaid, or that at least the next time such a situation comes about, you'll be motivated to speak... elaine: hildegard von bingen, she's only happy when she's singin vz: sigh.. if only those were the only things left unsaid
but on a brighter note,
annti-starbbucks operattions prediicted to riise 2000% in the philladelphiia aarea over the nexxt severral weeeks Anusha: Hi Lili
No, have never heard of Hildegrad von Bingen.
The only "fear" I have re. brother Justo his case, is that sooner or later, somebody shall try to make a lot of money out of this man's work of Art and forget that his work is nothing else but... Peter: yeah, thats pretty stringent. sorta like disallowing long-haired men from entering the park: www.snopes.com/disney/parks/longhair.htm
www.snopes.com/disney/disney.asp is a fascinating read, btw... especially the part that led me to www.europa.com/~cabelsa/flash... hehehehe... Peter: the englishes move every day...
jeeff: the weird thing about disney is that they promote all these 'liberal' values but within those they're absolutely rigid about social policy. like a politically correct big brother. the old contract for animators gave them a house and a car along with their job, but they had to... jeeff: yeah, no doubt. the pig is kind of old, non? i think he's moved on to bigger & better things. i'd like to see more of his work. jeeff: you would get extra points for surfing through the hole in the middle. Peter: oh, cool. gotta love the old cruisers! Peter: also: dear sixy seeker... please explain "sixy" and exactly what it is you "wont to see"? Peter: omg, hilarious. elaine: i saw this and thought of you - i liked the springs elaine: ha ha ha ha ha ha hah ha ha hah ha ha haha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha !!!! fab. sixy seeker: i wont to see sixy not sixy as www.sixy.com but as this Jamie: There is some pretty cool stickering going on here though:
Jamie: Yeah, although i don't personally agree with tagging or writing onto old architecturally interesting buildings, though there are plenty of post-war concrete boxes around here. Peter: ahh, that sucky trend where the crappiest graf is also the most prevalent. they need more stickerers and writers in horncastle.
also: that no footway sign is pretty cool. Peter: hot, but pretty. horncastle looks like a lovely place, yo. Peter: i agree re: the gang culture.
one thing to remember is that many of the opinions stated in this thread are from random people who surfed in via google, and simply left their argumentative two-cents without really being aware of the points being made in the entry. Peter: jamie: heh, i actually said that in my last comment, then deleted that part before posting it, you know, so as to preserve the naivete :) Fredrik-Sweden: Haha, I guess there are certain points of views that must be strightened out, right!? Anyway, even over here in Sweden we have problems when it comes to gang rivalty (do you spell it like that?) and I´m so tired about people blaming it on some kind of cultural behaviour... jen (jsunshine): I had the extreme pleasure of not only meeting the man behind the pig last night, but I watched him create a 4x10ft mural! This man is so talented, the pigs are just the tip of the iceburg. Jamie: though could easily be misconstrued as stalking on your part elaine: which would go in the animation nicely - i bet that would make it kind of poingnant Peter: shadow geeks!
Peter: more info to come from sine... she reminds me to remind all yall that she is currently without internet, and is thusly delayed in tending to this project... Peter: also: i pass some of the same people every morning, as the trains, much like people's workday schedules, run like clockwork. what would be cool would be to get a week's worth of photos of the same person, over time... Jamie: im a geek - youre a geek - lets all geek together Peter: yeah, its fun snapping one every day on teh way to work. its become a little morning rituaql now, akin to reading my book on the train or getting coffee on the way into work. Jamie: but... what about citynoise: the book? Peter: heh, you would know, geek! ;) Jamie: i somehow missed all this. keep on posting petey. i love this sorta thang elaine: mean mofo, j Jamie: Peter, even your shadow is geeky. hah. Peter: ive even heard that they apply disney-style special effects to the town as a whole... like carting in golden leaves to scatter about in autumn, etc... elaine: i'll say! Peter: ahh, i feel so special :) thanks. Peter: ahh, you mean "Celebration, Florida", est. 1994?
www.celebrationfl.com
www.celebration-florida-relocation.com
yeah, sorta creepy! elaine: see, i think of you, peter! naw, these are round the corner here, i took some pics but havn't posted them yet elaine: and what about the weird disney town where there are all the rules? what is that all about? Peter: yay! hahahaha this cracked me up. man, those places sure look run down. are thos ethe flats in brighton? Peter: heh, good point... Peter: man, id surf that. awesome! Peter: weird fact: because of disney's huge profits at disney world, the whole state of florida doesnt have any sales tax. thats alot of money changing hands and filtering into the state's economy.
also: disney is considered at the forefront of liberal employee benefits, giving the same benefits to same-sex partners of... elaine: or a crowd control barricade for a bed, and use it as a ladder for...? Peter: heh, thats pretty funny, jeeff... thsoe streetcars are really freaking cool, though, definitely! Peter: yay propagating new features! Peter: yeah, i know ;) i think we covered the bodega thing already, heh. Peter: i thought about that too when i first saw this. its like some vestige of ruralness or something. Peter: jeeff: not only can you, you should. there are so many people i would reccommend not make public art that do. but of all the people that should, youre definitely up there.
also: im not sure thats a bed-frame... i think its one of those crowd-control barricades they put up around... Peter: awesome! its like a perfect compliment to hte first plum beach entry... same things, different light... i love it. gotta get out there to the beach one of these days... Peter: damn, theres just something nice about surreptitiously snapped casino photos. i hope you take em any chance you can... Peter: yeah the wondering about the people is the fun part. and seeing them all look so tired, coming through the WTC station after a hard day's work, puts an interesting setting on their lives. elaine: mmmm mossy greeeen coooool... wa.. ter.. Peter: ...and it has dandruff! no wait, thats snow flurries... Peter: you cant go wrong with transit maps, graffiti and anti-starbucks stickers :) elaine: or old prespective... elaine: i'd have to know you a lot better before i'd let you drink my bathwater! Peter: i love the city- but sometimes, indeed, it traps you. its harder to leave than to just stay and weather it out, assuming you wanted to leave in the first place ;) Peter: wow, thats certainly an interesting new perspective... Peter: wow, that poppy is so pretty! and the license plate collection- cool. this is a great entry- im really glad you thought to snap these shots and share em- definitely takes the edge offa just getting into the office for another day of work... Peter: it was nice yesterday, is supposed to be nice today, but saturday... 97 degrees! :( Peter: GGP: glug glug glug.
all hail H20! GGP: Joey: yes, a wool jacket. it's always kind of chilly here...except when it's hot. The mountains. And constantly changing weather. and yes, oh, My Side of the Mountain...I loved that book when I was kid. I need to find a copy and re-read it! Thanks for reminding me.
elaine: hope the... Fredrik-Sweden: I´m from Sweden, i.e Scandinavia. When I read this I might be missing something, but all you guys claiming that Humboldt park is great and that you´re proud PR/gangstas etc, read this first: Humboldt belongs to sweden and germany, so shut the fuck up and pay attention to the REAL... elaine : poverty of space and time v poverty of opportunity, the city/rural divide lives on everywhere, it seems. i often wish i could afford to live somewhere outside london, but you have to have capitial to survive as well as do what you want to do on a daily basis. the... Fredrik-Sweden: whats the purpose for the Pet bird stickers? Whos pet birding the town? Let me in, Im from Sweden... Serafin: Is veri nice for me, i like it Itxaso from basque country: This sammer I'm going to go to peterborough Fredrik-Sweden: Well, it seems the city is giving and taking, as any city does. And from my perspective you still have alot to take and give each others as you still hang on in there... Fredrik_Sweden: Whoa! I wonder WHO has permission to go inside? Great! Fredrik_Sweden: Hahaha, theres hope for humanity!!! Fredrik -Sweden: I really enjoy this story, jut like i enjoy some of the pictures of the N.J-WTC Station. It reminds me of the fragile human beeing, faceless to all but few and once again I start to wonder: Who are they?
Great, thanks alot! fuzzytank: "Wear clean drawers." Fredrik -Sweden: I think its a super picture, I love the feeling in the picture, it´s alive! Fredrik - Sweden: Yet some more great shots of faceless anonymous bodies passing... Wonder what their lives are like? Great again, thanx! Fredrik/Sweden: I think the pictures are great-its a proof of what kind of society we live in today, we´re faceless bodies rush you by, where no time stnads still. With your pix you´ve catched some moments that makes me feel great on a rainy day over here in Sweden!!! Thanks! vz: well, i guess that matters too... elaine: ha ha ha, yeah vz: the exit signs could say
"welcome to the desert of the real" kc: hey! thank you so much. I like it out there... elaine: this simulacrum has a particularly munchkin kind of flavour. it is wild how the architecture has a cartoon fantasy village where everyone has jobs like baker and oversize candy seller, while the ceiling looks like the whole fantasy is breaking down rapidly and outside is a bladerunner style dystopia -... jeeff: *wink* vz: i just looked at this for maybe the twentieth time and i just noticed the boulder in the parking lot. why is there a boulder in the parking lot? vz: the light/shadows on the setbacks is what really makes it elaine: go on then! you know you can, jeef elaine: evening, sorry elaine: lovely. you make me smile on this london morning. it's 7.15 am and has been muggy all night, and outside already bombastic harsh sunlight lies in wait to boil the day, thanyou for sharing your poppy and cool morning elaine: these are so beautiful! someone told me once there is a japanese word for beauty in decay, and of course i have forgotten it now. you have captured a regretful beauty with your gentle eye, lovely lovely work joey: you were wearing a coat? on a ny upstate cool morning. hey that reminds me of - have you ever read 'my side of the mountain' ?
it's kind of a childrens' book, but a fun read about upstate ny. Anonymous (cpe-024-211-184-011.nc.res.rr.com): bodega is spanish....a lot of grocers in nyc are latin american jeeff: wow, the search links are different. cool. jeeff: nice photos. i like the streetcars. however, when i first moved here i tried to catch the college streetcar from an island stop and it just went right past. i was convinced that i didn't understand the "trick" of flagging a streetcar, so i avoided them for about... jeeff: yeah, disney is evil. i studied classical animation in college for a short time at a school that was funded mostly by disney. i learned a lot that made me disrespect them. jeeff: wow! google tells me it's quite a surfing spot. jeeff: that is wicked. that's the kind of thing i want to do. jeeff: "look both ways before you cross the street."
