Previous Day :: Next DayEvilGentleman: I just now noticed your comment, Mr. Englesson. Thank you very much for your information. My family and I very much enjoyed eating at your restaurant in August 1999, when this picture was taken. May you stay in business forever. Some pieces of America need to be preserved, and your... EvilGentleman: jack did poetic Bayonne
who woulda thunk?
had I taken that on
I would have stunk
I can only hope
jack had a good flight
I could not cope
if he was not all right
I bet it's safe to say
that we will soon see pics
from when jack was away
on his far-away trip
Sometimes my mind
is just like a... Chris Erb: This is a very interesting Hell tag that is very different from all the others. Note the second one far away in the background.
Catherine Penfold-Waxman: I second that emotion.
Jack, this is great. I thoroughly enjoyed your journey. Chris Erb: I know it's much more fun to find them on your own but there's a 9 page photostream on flickr dedicated just to hell tags (including some very cool projections by the Graffiti Research Lab).
http://flickr.com/photos/urban_data/tags/hell Jamie: have i ever said how happy i am that you learned to post photos, jack? Catherine Penfold-Waxman: LWAMC: dude, a bootleg of your gig is on limewire. It rocks da shed. EvilGentleman: Like the Turcot Yards here in Montreal. Jamie: maybe they did jack. history holds many dark secrets. EvilGentleman: The display was only up for a week or so, they are all in someone's garden shed now, for sure. EvilGentleman: You may very well have to, Chris. I am totally useless with a can of spray paint. Na3AlF6: you say alu-min-um. i say alu-min-yum. it's one of my main ingredients so i know these things. Well, anyways guys, you can catch us on the west coast of greenland most nights before 1987 LWAMC: how sweet. hav u herd our latest song? i wrote it last nite it's called "na na na na na na na na na na na" ea:
emergency exit Grange: $100 dollar spoiler on a $ 50 dollar car ....geshhhhh kids today aer suzuki: only reason i responded a second time is because you asked:
"id be interested in knowing *your* opinion, beyond the argument of hte status-quo. :D"
do whatever you want, it's not that important, but you did ask my opinion. Grange: Midnight raid to put garden gnomes on each chair ...Pays $15 in Canadian Tire money Grange: Like Dawn of the Dead without the Zombies an_impossible_child: i lived in catford for quite a few years & erm the cat was the only interesting thing in the whole place. & the turkish bakery.
there wasn't even a bookshop, just regular chainstore stuff.
not happy :S Catherine Penfold-Waxman: "Thorium, My Love" from Cryolite was actually our wedding song. Mitch Waxman: Poseurs and sellouts, Sodium used to be da bomb. Their tour with Halite was a classic, a natural combination. Sodium could walk on water back then, blazing with a bright yellow flame visible for miles. They were so big that they were like 2.6% of the entire earth, back in... desi, esther y alfon: hemos visitado hoy la catedral y todavia no lo creemos, como la idea de una persona en su cabeza puede llegar a transformarse en la obra de arte que acabamos de ver, hemos conocido a justo, que ya forma parte de nuestra historia de españa.increible.ojala termine su sueño nosotros estaremos con... jeeff: to some degree, but consumer demand (encouraged by govt policy) is what drives sprawl and car-centric development at the fundamental level. psycho: very bealtifull psycho: I HAVE INTERESS TO LE PARKOUR´PHOTOS public more.
Chris Erb: I found it interesting because it's all new to me. Growing up in [New Brunswick] and doing little traveling I don't get to see much of what I saw in Montreal. There definitely were more interesting areas but to an outsider, even he most mundane of sights can... psycho: ai ai ai ai ai... Puts que esportaaaaaço pratico já a quatro meses e curto demais.Tõ querendo aumentar meu grupo.SE TIVER AFIM DEIXE SEU COMENTÁRIO AQUI NESSE SITE,E UM SITE PRA CONTATO. Peter: ...or perhaps what is foisted upon them by the folks that have the money to build it. jeeff: what amazes me is that, since there's little in the way of co-ordinated urban planning in the US, people are left to design their town however they want. ...and this is apparently what they want. a fan: hA yo i saw yor shO lst nyt & it ROCKED hard! i thawt dat shed wz gna faL dwn, m8
LWAMC: thanks to all who came see us play our new song "i hate myself and i want to die" in my nan's shed last night. we rocked, and you were an awesome auidence. Sodium 4lyfe, yo! Harry Knackers: Sodium! Sodium!
Keep it on a podium
Bond it with Chlorine and it's tasty, yum
but it's not to be confused with Rhodium Doctor Duane: Sodium ions are necessary for regulation of blood and body fluids, transmission of nerve impulses, heart activity, and certain metabolic functions. It is widely considered that most people in Western countries consume more than is needed, in the form of sodium chloride, or table salt, and that this can have... Catherine Penfold-Waxman: $10 (American) if you can get a pic of the chairs spinning on top of the sticks. Peter: 1) what EG said.
2) the shot of the guy on the bike (above) is me. i have a zillion photos of myself online, so... as far as how i feel about having photos of myself online, well...
3) this is a banal thread. i love privacy as much as the next... jenny: them people are bad what they did.do you know how many peole die in 5 days.people who she that is really freaky.i dont be live that they say oh you will be died 2row thats wrong.
ps:tom is a sweetheart and i like louie geogre peter connolly: if you shut both eyes the tower block disappear's ha ha we have jelly moulds incorporating children's names this is new can I send you one indykid: Interesting observations can be drawn from these photos about the role of the car in North American culture. Just look at the size of the car parks in these photos versus the number of cars and people in their vicinity! Grange: 5 bucks for you evil if you can get a pic of someone sitting on one of the chairs...lol Jamie: "If you had to actively break a law to take the picture, then don't post it"
that rules out a whole bunch of my photos... oops EvilGentleman: If you right-click any image in citynoise, then click properties, it will usually tell you the camera it was taken with. I am using a Fujifilm A510, which is basically a mid-range in the cheap point-and-shoot category. I have also used a Fujifilm A330 and a Kodak DC280. One day,... EvilGentleman: One must take the view that all that is done in public is open to be published in the open domain. Otherwise, a whole bunch of considerations will overwhelm everything until nothing is fit to be published.
Can you imagine if you had to have the permission of CN rail to... aer suzuki: EvilG: yeah that helps...even though i have a [relatively] cheap little point and shoot, i still spent what amounts to a nice chunk'a change on it [for me] so for a long time didn't trust myself to cart the camera around, i'm just now getting over that.
what kind of camera... aer suzuki: yeah except whoever that is looks pretty willing to be snapshotted tho. mullet guy looked pretty unwilling. look, if peter wants to shoot & post dudes with mullets that's fine, just wondering how he'd feel in the same position, if he's cool with it, cool. i just think it should... aer suzuki: whoo, i like the haziness of the first and fourth pictures, the shot of the rocks and sky is brilliant, thanks for sharing. t@ngent: like this you mean?
jonathan: oi dumass wtf is purdy
=}
aer suzuki: "you dont want it turning up online/getting photographed/discussed, then dont do it in public ;) thats why people dont fuck in public, carry out personal melodramas in public (often) or walk around nude in public."
but he's not doing anything, looks like, except minding his own business. saying that because a... t@ngent: he looks as though he may be packing heat under his shirt. i'd be careful. where do you live, palestine? t@ngent: i think he just really likes his town. a lot. but it is kinda boring now. and yes, the caps are tiresome too. obviously an aol user SingleGuy: If bored kids want to spray paint things why don't they go to an abandoned industrial area and do it? Because here the tag means something. it means u can do what you please here, there is no risk to getting caught. you can spray paint. you can break-in. you... SingleGuy: Speaking of taking pictures of unwilling strangers in public. ..This guy looked like he was about to eat me when he saw my camera pointed in his direction. (origionally i was just waiting for them to get out of the way so i could snap a pic of the old... Sticky: The dude with the spoiler probably caused the accident that wrecked the other car! dave: That is a man ! My mind is made up, i want a mullet too.... dude, u just started a trend dave: I actually live in the ugly '80s building. This is the view looking east2 downtown from the roof. The area becomes the city of Westmount in a few blocks. Which is quite posh and Pleasantville-ish. And it's no surprize you heard kids speaking english. Contrary to popular belief this isn't... simdave28: LOl, I can't beleive the guy thinks the corner of Decarie and Sherbrooke is interested. An esso, a kfc, a shell and an ugly 80s apartment tower. There are some WAY more interesting areas in Montreal than this. Chris Erb: I made sure to take pictures of the double stairs as I found them so intriguing. It actually took me a couple minutes to figure out whwhere each one was going and how they worked.
The staircases really popped out at me. They were so new and unusual. ... Chiamattt: TAKANAKAKNAKNA CLAN! BOOOOYAKASHA! Chiamattt: I like this post. Why is it taken down so often? Chris Erb: And lets not start on the caps. Chris Erb: If you don't do it EG, I will! (upon moving to Montreal) Chris Erb: haha, throughout high school I heard every way possible to change my last name into other words or phrases ("Erban legend" and "Erbs and spices" come immediately to mind). You have succeeded in finding a brand new one. Bravo! joey: picture 3 and 4. climb up there and edit the grafitti to read 'citynoise' Peter: gus: your repetative, repeated, repetative, repeated references to barnoldswick are starting to sound a bit spammy :/ Peter: "do i have the right?" well, most people accept the tenet that anything done in public is in the public domain, unless otherwise specified. thats why cabs that use cc-tv warn you, thats why calls to most corporations warn you that youre being recorded, etc.
weve had this discussion before, but... EvilGentleman: Here in Montreal, all our traffic woes can be solved by simply blowing up all Honda Civics and Honda Accords. If we do that, we will have reduced the flow of traffic on all roads by 60%. I have absolutely no clue why the French seem to be so in... GUS BRENNAN: flatbush, whats that all about looks well run down, you are all welcome
to this, billboards, graffiti, building sites, give me old "barnoldswick"
anytime, this is a real town, not a make believe slum.... EvilGentleman: Or in plain English, they have no current ideas for new architectual styles, so they will play with patio furniture to distract us. Grange: Your welcome, I forgot about it , so i was suprised when i got it today .Kind of cool .Now as a don my cape i'm off to smite evil doers everywhere....Not you evilgent ...
batgrange Chris Erb: You really love Barnoldswick!
On a sidenote, my girlfriend is moving to England soon so I sent her the link to your Barnoldswick post as I imagine she would like the scenery so you can count on at least one person seeing your "real old town". Previous Day :: Next Day |
