Previous Day :: Next Dayfuzzytank: in the latest 2 versions of photoshop....
file -> automate -> photomerge
or at least thats where it is on anything that dosent start with Apple
its commin standard these days, if you have a lot of images it wont work well by itself, but it makes it really easy for you to... nideone: looks like the pictures where taken from one of the building on Wilshire and Normandie. Dont know exactly what building though. jeeff: kobe - no problem. photoshop is the main program i work with, so i know most of the tricks. if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
elaine - i agree. people need to go easy on the filters. ;) moneyshot: coincidentally, these are also in san andreas... moneyshot: mm dallas, i love my city. too bad theres not more graffiti... moneyshot: thats bad ass moneyshot: buy 50, get 60. i love phillies elaine: good call jeeff. plus you can use merge visible periodically to stop the whole thing being so unwieldy, and i find it important, in general, for me, to name the layers. final general point about the photoshop, is although lighting and other effects can be useful in moderation, a lot... GGP: ea, i know the window poems well. But you've inspired me to re-read them! kobe: jeeff: wow m8y, thanks for the top-notch tutorial- thats exactly what i was looking for! i figured as much, but would never have reasoned out the transparency and layers deets without a pointer in the right direction. cheers! jeeff: there are photoshop packages you can get that will auto-stitch panoramic images. i've never used 'em, although i worked for a while at a company doing this. they had their own proprietary software. it was pretty cool until the company went out of business.
if i'm doing this... elaine: i like a scalpel and a cutting mat myself, but i have used photoshoppe for montage, and the key, as far as i have used it, is managing layers well and using the transform tool. a bit of lighting comes in handy too.
anyone else? kobe: cool. how do you guys do the photo-montage thing? just paste em together in photoshop or what? elaine: 'a place not natural but wild' is i think very citynoise sentiment ea: you, especially then, must also read his Window Poems series GGP: spooky, thrilling thing to stumble upon. cool posting. GGP: Oh, my God. Wendell Berry--my hero! I'm in the midst of reading his book, Life Is A Miracle, right now! Great poem, great poet, beautiful fractured image. Peter: wow, now this is cool. love it. thanks! elaine: perfect nikki : you are U G L Y get stronger glasses
nikki: that stinks i can do better and i am 84 elaine: and did i mention my gypsy blood on my dad's side? elaine: sepently am, sixy as. there are a coupla pics of me around here... kobe: that sky looks electric kobe: blondes are sixy. are you blonde, elaine? if so, that would be sixy! kobe: someone sure has their uniform hand-style down kobe: fuckin gypsies! kobe: i dunno, with the wheelchair and all, it looks like maybe someone died and they were cleaning out. beware cursed items! kobe: the toothy one is rather creepy. if i perchanced upon that, i would be running away scared kobe: our bird man, always valiant, plasters on and on! elaine: lucky you! some people don't know they're born jeeff: wish i could say the same here. we've had an old chair and a sink sitting on the front lawn for 2 days now. Peter: ...and i bet itll all be long-gone beforehte trash haulers show up to collect it! elaine: and can i say, by the way, that i particularly like the whole article, including the shopping trolly. it is classic citynoise, you wouldn't see this breadth in a magazine or whatever elaine: rich pickings! elaine: magic! right up my alley - love the juxtaposition of the intense teeth thing and the happy flower elaine: well, it's history and geography. the romany gypsies are one thing, then there are irish gypsies, and then there are elective 'new age' travellers. the new age travellers came out of a long standing squatting culture which started because of post war housing shortage and mutated into an alternative culture,... Peter: woah... thats some freaky shit! i love it... awesome that you posted it here. Thomas Smith: There was a small company that was manufacturing side by side tandums in the early to mid 90's, they called it the "Buddy Bike". I have a friend that owns one and decided to build one for myself. I ordered the cranks from the company off of the parts list... Peter: those faces remind me of doze green's faces a little. cool stuff! im glad you were able to get flicks of this... elaine: it just amazes me they are taking so long Peter: very pretty. Peter: this entry reminds me of this entry. gypsies! are they common there? they arent, here. Peter: more from the WTC site, this morning, looking into it from the PATH platform:
Peter: today, someone was delivering doritos to the bodega:
