in response to hunting the elusive graffitti covered truk

Peter: this has a vaguely twilight, phallic quality to it. i love how the lights are surrounded by little round rainbows of refraction, too.

in response to In the modern age...

Peter: thats awesome that you can walk around in belarus, stenciling things in the broad daylight :)

in response to barkin\' dog

kobe: i love how u did all the photos into a montage. thats cool. it reads like a storyboard.

in response to barkin\' dog

in response to barkin\' dog

elaine: o so hool - check out the line continuing from the spiral staircase!

in response to montreal parkour preview

kobe: he yhool, didja see how he landed that? what did he land on? paving? ouch!

in response to montreal parkour preview

kobe: wow indeed. all i can say is NICE JOB bringing this one to us. this is good one-off content. i bet youre the only one that captured this, much less put it online. thanks for going through that effort- this one is dramatic and the sort of content that makes...

in response to high speed chase

in response to elusive graffiti truck #2

kobe: ja is the man. a simple google query informed me of his greatness. too bad the goo on this entry is so random, lol!

in response to Ja All City King

kobe: thats pretty. skyward bound flying motorways at night. cement legs crushing cars below under the watching eye of ringlet lights. the city never sleeps.

in response to In the modern age...

elaine: yesss, he puts a whole new twist on 'street food'. he takes off if you don't watch him like a hawk, and fine dines out the bins. he can eat a lot of rubbish in an ambient style while walking, but his last good chow down cost ian £75 and...

in response to Finite Hallway

Peter: not to mention... we're not stupid. we see the news. weve taken history. we know whats up and what was up in NI. i think jamie's entries have been spot-on, in regards to both the history of the place and the current state of things. i aprpeciate his entries.

in response to Urban Street Propoganda

Peter: jeeff: as construction/clean-up at the site progresses (albeit verrrrry slowly), things get shuffled around a bit... barriers are moved temporarily, walls and netting that purposefully obfuscate the site from prying eyes are momentarily loosed for moving, etc... and as chance would have it, i pass through there twice a day,...

elaine: this is such a lovely suite of photos. i just looked at it again and was struck by the juxtapositon of different registers. nice

in response to No Complaints Today

elaine: i remembered it as a fabric thing, but maybe i was wrong, or else maybe, since you can make the emulsion yourself you can put it on anything. i was quite intrigued about it at one point and was going to try and use it for teaching, but it seems...

in response to San Francisco, from the Coastal Trail in the Marin Headlands

Lili: Yum. So this site has inspired me to get out with my camera ? I have some pretty good photos of UCLA Botanical Gardens - waterfalls and my pal the one legged scrubjay (some say bluejay but they are different). Hope to be posting more soon. Lili

in response to Acton\'s Lock

Lili: Oh, yes, I ran across this earlier. So fabric was used instead of paper ? The effect with fabric must be nice - grainy ? Lili

in response to San Francisco, from the Coastal Trail in the Marin Headlands

elaine: yeah, i think that's why she doesn't swim him yet, he is still a puppy. charlie, on the other hand, does get sick, but that is because of his preference for 'street food' - the more rancid the better. the canal is pretty clean, fishes live in it, and birds...

in response to Acton\'s Lock

elaine: sorry, idiot! here - www.astro.wisc.edu/~mukluk/blprint.html

in response to San Francisco, from the Coastal Trail in the Marin Headlands

elaine: i remembered - they are called cyanotypes, and if you search that you get recipes and everything. some examples atto give you a visual hook

in response to San Francisco, from the Coastal Trail in the Marin Headlands

jeeff: funny, as a visual artist you have to re-train your eyes to see the colour and atmosphere of light again. i'm part of an online illustrator's forum and many of the art-discussions threads are about the physics of light refraction. how it bounces and things like that. i know...

Lili: Kristy - nice post. Your post is very orderly and clear - reminds a dash of an industrial manufacturing procdure. There are lots of things that can be done with screen-printing. De cows are my pals as well. Thanks ! Lili

in response to Cheap Screen Printing Tutorial

vz: i know! i love how cameras pick up the actual color of lighting. the eye is designed to adapt to any light to ensure color constancy, but a photo reveals things like this

in response to Tasty Place

Anonymous (adsl-67-122-210-164.dsl.snfc21.pacbell.net): If only I had the smallest concept of this bravery. I bow my head in respect of a great hhuman being.

in response to Bobby Sands: An Cumann Cabhrach biography of 1981

Lili: Coca-Cola Company, I would like to thank you for drawing attention to the work of Justo Gallego Martínez in Spain. I can, on one level, identify with difficult creative work that goes unappreciated. As odd as this next statement may appear, I believe it to be true: You have performed a very significant...
