Previous Day :: Next Dayjeeff: your finite hallway has become infinite:
www.modernhistory.org/hallway.html Jamie: Wrap him up. Wrap him well.
In a Pitta, he'll think it's swell jeeff: i assign you some summer homework: make something cool for citynoise about your new location. jeeff: i was never so happy as when toronto lost the '08 olympics. our city is safe! Anonymous (user-12lcl9r.cable.mindspring.com): "See the great white scar
over Battery Park
then a flair glides over,
but I won't look at that scar..."
"All the corners of the buildings
Who but we remember these?
The sidewalks and trees..."
--David Bowie, "New Killer Star" (Reality)
Peter: ahh, heh, yes. oops! elaine: may i refer my learned friend to our previous discussion here re 'bugger off olympics, go paris' ? Peter: hmm, i thought you guys wanted it too. well, paris it is then! sacre bleu!! elaine: lissen, i didn't wish it on you can't we concentrate the voodoo on paris? Jamie: Motherfuckin' yeah, those were the days. No word of a lie Peter: i would have thought so too. things never tend to work out as the yshould in a place like nyc. heres to y'all getting hte olympics though! :D we definitely odnt need it here, heh! elaine: hee hee i missed this one somehow. how very fabilicious elaine: well, he certainly sounds like a bit of a toss pot. our own olympic bid seems to have hit a hysterical pitch. i have never heard of any dissent on the news. so much for balanced reporting. bah
here there are still bomb sites from WW2 and the evidence thereof (odd... Peter: theres such a lengthy backstory that it would take me hours to type, but siffice to say that they are coming along VERY SLOWLY with any sort of construction there. hell, they havent even completely decided on a final design for a memorial or a new building(s) yet. our mayor... elaine: jeeff, you loon! elaine: but amazing it is still work in progress in such a dense city area this long afterwards, even though it was so big, no? jeeff: i'll see what i can whip up for sticker designs. elaine: but when they wrote the signs they must have known what was going to happen, if they are part of the surviving structure. how very time machine jeeff: i like it so much my fingers were paralyzed till now. elaine: nice one. have a good trip xxx Peter: ...though im sure conventional paint filled with metal and glass shards would probably make idea anti-parking paint, but it might be a bit of a public liability... heh. Peter: oh man, now that would be something! jeeff: i wonder if anyone's invented anti-parking paint. the cars slide right outta the spot. elaine: yeah, that's definately the winner on infinity wars. and it's pink elaine: and there is always anti climb paint Peter: ooh, i just saw this for the first time... im rediscovering alot of posts i missed or didnt take a close look at earlier.
nice. i love this one. makes me wanna start putting up stickers like that. youre pretty muc hguaranteed to feel happy after seeing that :) Peter: this one certainly does:
Peter: at owner's expense... heh. im always fascinated by the stubbornness of some people re: graffiti. thike the building with this sign, for example. they replace it every time it gets hit. though their replacements have slowed lately (its getting hit alot?) the ystill do it, or go through apparently tedious... elaine: you know, you are so wise GGP: but in its own mind, this hallway goes on and on and on. elaine: and i do. i've looked at this quite a few times, as it happens GGP: I like it. GGP: I too hope this doesn't signal the end of the image era for the Pet Bird Maker.
Good to see these in quadruplicate, though!
At owner's expense, indeed! elaine: ooh, i say, that pet bird would be quadruple parked, there elaine: yeah, it's like local knowledge, respect the residents elaine: the endpoints would be in the finite nature of the title, j! Peter: lol!
she's my woman
she's my girl
i give her arms and legs a twirl
i love her much
as you can see
she's my little amputee

:D :D Peter: but if you open the doors on both ends, it gets about 10 times longer! Jamie: p.s. do you remember crazy irish caroline? you know, the amputee? Jamie: no, i've aften wondered where they went to. I still have some of those old stickers somewhere believe it or not. I might dig them out sometime Jamie: it has a very definite endpoint Peter: how the No Parking Sign looks today:
peep this article for more info... EXAM(ER) : WUT UP DAZE DEAP PRIME EVEN I DON'T KNOW YAW BUT I HAVE MUCH RESPECT FOR YAW CUZ EVRYWHERE I GO SHIT THAT'S ALL SEEN SO KEEP IT UP KEEP D-TOWN ON THE MAP ER.--------------->EXAMER Peter: jamie, i cant seem to find the images of the jamazon/citynoise nyc bus stickering campaign, heh. those were good days. seMPer of DALLAS FEMS!: Props to ER FUCK THE HATE LUV THY NAYBOR! PRIMER WHADDUP BUD-EE! Jamie: I got your fountain right here baby!
Jamie: remember this?
and this...
Enniskillen, citynoised to the max, back in the 02 Peter: i like the stickering idea jeeff... i actually did that some here in 2002, but the site was *so* new then that it didnt catch on much.
id be willing to try again. any design ideas/submissions would, as always, be aprpeciated. Peter: also: im very glad they scrapped the lame idea of the photo ban. ive been taking tons of photos on the subway :) Peter: ill see what i can do. but honestly, i conszidered that, but as it was full of half-drunk people having a party, i thought it might be a little intrusive to get in there with my camera. especially since it was a private social club.
Editor: now angela, thats not a very nice comment. i love the photos in this article. not all posts have writing in them. lets aprpeciate the photos too, eh? Peter: yeah this is freaking amazing. i love it. ive sat here for several minutes and just starred at the photo... more than a few times in the past coupla days... Peter: it always makes me chuckle when some one-off random visitor rolls through and disses a regular for a very cool on-topic post. the logic escapes me. Peter: that is one happy dog! i wouldnt have minded jumping in a fountain myself yesterday. hot hot hot. Peter: i love ghosty reflections of folks in train windows. i was watching them last night, while riding the Q over the bridge into brooklyn. Peter: nice! imagine that... a windows-powered giant psp thats crashed. heh! Anna: We go up to Yuba once every year and I think the town is great. We are actually heading up there this weekend and I can't wait to go. It is a very cool town and the scenery is beautiful. Jamie: dude, is that you dirk? GGP: good catch!! jeeff: credit goes to mr. spennemann. it's gems like that which make the internet a fun place to wander. elaine: oh, for lord! do you really think that is what this site is all about? and i think you will find that bleeagh is more than a visitor Cynic: I am looking for a good artist to spray up a wall for me. I will pay but will need a quote first. Plz reply here. dek : Great pic & articule. Gets you thinking! elaine: ha ha how tragic! compunction: Not a fan of tags...strange, then, that you would visit citynoise, a great place for fans of sweet-ass tags from cities across the world. compunction: So, Lili, you seem to be suggesting that this post is profound. I understand your point, but I get pissed as hell when something is labeled "profound" because most people don't understand it or can't appreciate it. It's nothing personal, but I think one should be careful when... elaine: it is good, isn't it. i like the way they have painted the red sqare (red square-boom boom! glad to see constructivism has it's uses) so that you can tell exactly when you have achieved the right viewing point compunction: holy shit, that is truly amazing. I just can't believe more people haven't posted in utter amazement! Angela: HOW cuTe Is ThAt DaWg>?? Angela: THIS ARTICLE SUX WHERE IS THE WRITING??? Previous Day :: Next Day |
