Previous Day :: Next Dayjeeff: hm, i wonder why only one photo will show up.. hool: the recording is simple. i just used a minidisc recorder and a microphone, recording in full stereo. minidisc recording quality is great. i used a stereo microphone to record all the surrounding noise. i should have used a foam wind baffle to block the wind, but... Mad Jane: Okay, someone recently told me that this is not just any bar. Apparently, it's a titty bar. . . with a dress code.
Suburban Tactics: They were constructed in the 50's or 60's or somthing.
Simon Rodia started it using all the things that the people of the community through out metal scraps, dishes, misc. crap mixed with concrete.

Peter: somwehre in park slope, but i fforget where. we passed it one night while riding west into the slope from prospect park west... OHMY!: I miss seeing those types of sites. Austin, has nothing on that type of beauty. Anonymous (cpe-24-90-83-184.nyc.res.rr.com): Where is that? Peter: cool, you should. we need more sf up in this piece. hep: hehe thx peter. I have a bunch more imma post up in the next few days ja: elaine: i know. i was just looking for the perfect excuse to post it. you can't steal 'em though, not because they belong to the queen, but because their parents are swans - the fabled thugs who can 'break your arm' (though i wouldn't mind my broken arm being down to... Peter: omg, thats teh cutest thing evar! Laura : Its funny- I bike through the park everyday on my way to and from school, and I zoom past all these beautiful things that I appreciate, but never quite get to look at. Yesterday, with the camera, I felt like I was discovering it anew, this place that I know... elaine: peter, happy belated birthday fellow crabby claws, here is a teenager for ya elaine: i know. and it wasn't there yesterday... elaine: yes who wouldn't? he's a big handsome boy, just like i like 'em, smart and a bit tough
jpgs, i know. i though of it, but i just knew he would fuck off as soon as i got the camera, but i plan to seduce him further, and hopefully the magpie... Oliver: This building, at 550 Madison Avenue, is now the home of Sony Corporate of America and SonyBMG (Previously Sony Music), where I worked for too many years.
One of the oddest things about it is the "sky lobby." You can't see from this photograph (taken from the backside),... Jamie: You want to marry him don't you. Peter: jpgs!! jeeff: haha Peter: thats just so creepy. elaine: ha ha ha ha ha hha hah ah ha hah ha ha hah ha ha hah well deserved punishment for all your smug gloatings!
btw i have a friend who is trying to source me a paris 2012 tee shirt, i think that would go nicely with my edmonton ikea jacket elaine: yeah, it would make a good sticker. i like it's expression.
i got a magpie who eats out on my windowledge, i leave him bacon rind and sunflower seeds. i know he is here cos he sounds like a typewriter. i want to befriend him and be the envy of my... elaine: a clearer one, once i had photoshopt it; Peter: im not upset, jack, just a bit disillusioned by both my country and my flag. i didnt mean any offense. i see now that you come from the old school, and i respect that alot... it just means that, as a younger american, i probably have a much more sarcastic... Gaz: >> Perhaps I've seen too much in this world
have you ever been outside of your own country? Do you have a passport? Peter: jack, thats awesome! you should tell us more about brooklyn in the old days :) Jack: Sorry to get you all upset about flag and politics. Whe nyou look back throughout history, soldiers and civilians died for stupid reasons... soldiers dont like war, especially politically motivated ones so they fight for their flag and countrymen back home. If they know there is a fight to help... Jamie: Nice photos Peter. Kites rock and your bike rocks. Jack: The guy and the dog, bot hdaydreaming of some adventure elsewhere in the park. Nice photos. Ahh, Central Park. You made me remember what it was all about. Saturday in the park, you would think it was the fourth of July.
Jack: Peter, great job on the park. It's been many years since I was there. Let's see, yes, when Ebets Field was still there. I often went to see Robinson and Snyder play ball and then go to the park for a run. Peter: things are so compressed here, residentially and socially, that the parks are some of the only large, open spaces to do anything outdoors. theyre kept up well enough, and are constantly filled with all sorts of people doing a million different things, especially on the weekends. though the photos above... Anonymous (xxx1118oth.si.edu): I love how the parks and squares really are used by neighbor residents in New York. I wish more people in DC did. Rather they are merely havens for the homeless. Peter: hahaha! beware the bird! Peter: i just came across this. it cracked me up:
sine: Jamie: that would make an awesome sticker Peter: i do what i can :) peep more here: graf Peter: I was told by a local witness:
"I think it's from an accident that occurred on 4th ave near union over the weekend. I walked by shortly after it happened; the red car was basically wedged under a big truck. Did not look good." bc:

I'm visiting Moscow in August this year. I'm realy interested in Russian Aviation and would love to visit Khodynka to see the aircraft that are left. What are my chances of visiting the site ??.

Peter: awesome, hep. thanks for posting! this entry reminds me of this one a bit... cool. Peter: awesome as always, hool! why dont you give us some background on how you record the sounds? im curious... Peter: excellent! ahh, and the castle! thats one of my favorite spots in the park. the resevoir, too. havent been up there to that cinder track in a year or two. Peter: Here are more photos of the crashed car... I was able to get some close-up shots when I passed it yesterday on teh way home, and it was sprinkling sufficiently enough to keep the meddling cops indoors... note the blue paramedic gloves laying on the passenger side seat...
elaine: those zombies with their flashing and their time freezing skills, wouldn't want to meet them up a dark alley El buho: Simplemente impresionante, lloro de emocion. La catedral esta siendo construida SIN PLANOS, solo con la inspiracion e intuicion, y Justo no es arquitecto, es un labrador de 80 aņos. Simplemente es maravilloso, increible, esperanzador.
The cathedral is being built without planes, and i hope that he'll see his building finished. Manuel: the text is a pretty good match with this
too Laura : That first shot is just...amazing. Rafael Gonzalez Sancho: Animo por su esfuerzo que seguro que sera recompensado de muchas maneras.
Es impresionante que en el siglo 21 no se haya perdido esta manera de construir gracias a Justo Gallego. Laura : The sound of birds in the background is amazing-I really like the way you incorporate sound into the post. Touches more than one sense. Too bad there isn't a way to smell the grass too... joey: yeah. they used a flash and froze time too joey: shades of warhol broken mallet: awesome pics mel: i think its the high contrast panda-squareroots&zoocrew: i see you righteous cats reppin. viva PESO Previous Day :: Next Day |
