Previous Day :: Next DaySusannah : I really like your urban photographs - I just wish you didn't pick on people with mullets, seems kind of hypocritical - you know? Susannah : PS I always hated when people brought their bikes on the train - you dweeb! Susannah : What I'm learning from this is that hairstyles and choice of clothing are the latest lines of segregation, ie if you have a mullet, don't ride this train (stick to the back of the bus), don't be caught dead in the city, use mullet only water restrooms, etc. I think... Susannah : You are a true photojournalist! I grew up in a neighborhood like this and never thought to take pictures. Susannah : Boring is as boring does? blood: cause a crab bitch own it ksedge: my pleasure. i only wish the shot could have been framed better but no matter where i stood i couldn't get it lined up right. however, i still think it's great. joey: i'm originaly from ohio. i moved to california 30 years ago this month. i love the california missions and jack is right- there is a mystifying power at these sites. i will go to the missions whenever the opportunity arises. i have lots of misions photographs- all pre-digital. EvilGentleman: Overall, Canada and America are great nations. But as far as to which side of the Atlantic they should have been built on, well... no comment. EvilGentleman: We should demand greater access to shipyards. Perhaps if we show our artistic license to gain admission? Ok, enough from this pundit. I'll be good now. Normanite: The idea of stopping in a town for a few minutes, taking a few pictures of abandoned buildings, and then declaring the town boring is one of the most pretentious, conceited, obnoxius, unwarranted, and judgmental excercises I can think of. It seems inherently diametric to the purpose of this... EvilGentleman: Hmmm, mental note, if we should ever organize "citynoise on the road" tours. Always book rooms in hotels with good views. Even if we do not need a room for accommodations, we should still pitch in together for a room with a good view to shoot from, and also to... EvilGentleman: I just love the way you put that. I now have this mental image of a couple of thirtysomethings lurking around a corner, wearing holster belts equipped with etching tools, long extension sticks clutched in your hands, one of you looking to check if the homeowners have left yet, the... EvilGentleman: Thanks, gentlemen. I appreciate your compliments very much. mofidious: mofidious@hotmail.co.uk
www.myspace.com/mofidious kerry: You are crazy if you think norman is boring,I live west of Denver now and would much rather live in norman.I've never lived in norman but lived about an hour north of it and went to norman every chance I would get. Jan: This photo is charming. Thanks for sharing it. Jan: "People are naturally defensive."
I think you enjoy that. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: is the second one sonic the hedgehog?
One of our neighbors recently chose to completly concrete over their front lawn. They had to sit there for hours protecting it from the local artists (me and Mitch). jack: you should love your country. your freedom was bought at a high price. your men and women before you joined with america in building this hemisphere. i, as a child, thought of canada as an extension of america. i love canada and i've only been there... jack: great study pic. she looks serenely. Whipslinger: Actually, I see rehab potential there. Whipslinger: Peter, to cure your curiousity about all those vast vacant lots, they used to house 12 story clusters of housing projects with names like Prince St. and Hayes Homes and Scudder Homes etc. They were not the greatest of living conditions by far and have been razed to make... joey: evilg nice work. your disaster reporting photos are really some of your best works. and jack? are you still on the west coast this week? joey: we can see the cranes at the port of oakland. but were kind of far away so they look like robot dogs. joey: this batch of hool's toronto photos has an edward hopper-like feeling in the light and shadow joey: here's looking at you pilgrim jack: whew! you should sell these pic's to the insurance company. great photos.
