Ezera: I remember meeting Democratic Congresswoman Edna F. Kelly in the Andrew Jackson Club near Utica Avenue. It was considered helpful to meet her if you were considering applying to a service academy like West Point, or if you needed a letter of reference for a civil service job.

Re to Carrie:: That's right, you have some wealthy families with big buisnesses up there that have kept companies from coming to town for years, so they wouldn't have competition and keep wages low. The city and chamber have been corrupt for years.

Re to Carrie: What can you do when the rich families control this town ? How does your average citizen fight the money and power and control in this town, and get these crooks that stick together like super glue out of power?

I've just been hanging out doing nothing. I just don't have anything to say , but that's how it is. It's not important. I've just been letting everything wash over me these days. Shrug. Basically nothing seems worth thinking about.: I've just been hanging out doing nothing. I just don't have anything to say , but that's how it is. It's not important. Carrie : Just curious...why are so many of you complaining and not doing anything to change your situation? I posted something to that effect the other day, but for some reason, it's been deleted. For change to happen, you've got to look in the mirror!
