Annemarie: Thank you for the photos and the website. Its fab. Visited New York March 2005 and can't wait to return. So thanks for helping rekindle the memories..... Nise Dirt Krew: you cant stop graffitti its a plague so just learn to love it. Destroy city property its a lot of fun! jeeff: your railworld entries remind me of the beginning of studio ghibli's spirited away (j title: sen to chihiro no kamikakushi). the family wanders into an abandoned park that the father explains was among a wave of amusement park bankruptcies when the bubble economy burst. wonderful movie.
www.imdb.com/title/tt0245429/ jeeff: great entry. sad story. i wish we could divorce urban regeneration and gentrification. why does new development have to be bland and anti-social? Jamie: OMG you're right! Where are you Gwen i love you like sooo much? I want us to live together and eat candy corn by the riverside every thursday at noon. I want us to take cream teas by moonlight in the hazy gaze of the witching hour. I want us... tenyen: At the same time as I was just gawping at after the
metaverse presented me with this:

tenyen - yen.spc.org rich: what a load of cobblers u cant even see her tenyen: those gastowers have particular resonance for me. short version of the long story is that I named a computer, which lived behind the robot building, after them. I particularly like the "stitch up" because gastowers should definitely not be wonky! I'd call that one "Three Crowns" (there... Question.....: First off i would like to say i come with much love, honor, y respect.... Not real sure if this would be the place to post or if anyone has an answer to my questions.... My mother-in-law is a puerta rican, Latin Queen from Chicago we have been in search... Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Even Sharons have a good story in them! Elaine, I really hope you get your neighbourhood cafe back. Community is so important, and it can be hard to find in a city. I love that I know a bunch of people on my block. I need the crazy lady at... Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Gasworks are cool. As a kid I could never quite get my head around how gas made them go up and down. I thought that it was just how many of those little camper gas bottles they had stacked in there at any time. Here's a nickname for you; Jamie... Jamie: Fittingly, yes. Just like that. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Like in "Trainspotting"? Jamie: Is it modern and funky to_use_underscores_instead of spaces, or is your spacebar just broken? I think though elaine, if u had spoken to her at length you would have come to learn that her name was sharon and that she grew up on a council estate in romford. Probably. Jamie: Yes happy new year ram. Seriously! But hey, yeah i wish i had a cool nickname like rockin al. I always like your gas towers. I can still remember being amazed by my dad telling me what they were and why they went up and down. Everything is much cooler... Jamie: There's a thatch roofed building in the middle of town. I bet you'd like that wouldn't ya. And i'm no expert on such matters but i reckon it'd be like 17th century or something. I think it's a pub but my mind's gone blank Jamie: I like to imagine tourists (and in my little daydream these tourists are naively american) blindly following the pedestrian signs that lead out of the city centre towards this place. Leftovers of a time, sometime in the 80s perhaps when it was shiny and new. Only to be met with... Jamie: Thanks for all the comments. I've been having a bit of luck with my little camera lately. I've got takin long exposures without a tripod down to a fine art Jamie: Thanks for the tip on the canon myke i'll start saving! Peter, i'm using a pentax optio 33lf at the moment. It's just a point and shoot camera but it has a "night mode" with which i make photos like these. I got the camera for free. What i really... Kon: Oh, and I forgot to ask, how does wheat paste hold up over time? Can I make a big batch and use it over a month, or do you have to use it soon? Kon: Damn, that is nice. The things that some people come up with always amaze me. So simple, so creative. I definately like that. Kon: ....someone really needs to find that recipe. Previous Day :: Next Day |
