Previous Day :: Next DayCatherine Penfold-Waxman: Your composition is immaculate. The first one is exceptional. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Oh no. It is really, really not flattering.
I have others, which are nicer. When I wear them out I have to be fleet of foot 'cos my next-door-neighbor, Charlie, chases me. elaine: see?
i rest my case jack: oh no sugar, its too fattenning. i like a-1 sauce.
a-1 are you kidding? a good italian red gravy would go great on a couple of fried eggs. jack: my wife used it on me 37 years ago! jack: how about a photo of you in the dress. jack: the beauty of a fire escape is its assesibility to the outside world without leaving your apartment. adam: i dont think firetrucks were quite the same when most of these buildings were built..
kew gardens is actually kind of beautiful. my view of it is just skewed because it seems like grandparent land hah.. but really the architecture and community value is pretty impressive Allio: I tried every fing from dancing to bungie jumpung and skateboarding is atmost..my best ..~~../ Allio: wtf..........Now this is original ..~~../ Allio: this would be amazing to draw Allio: soooo.....awsome...it captures the artists imagination Allio: this graffiti is awsome... i seen better but it inspires me
Allio: very borin..cant we stick wiv original graffiti...its much more interestin' don'ya fink Eros 1: Megan,
I'm sending your message to Crook now...
PEACE,
Eros Cheesy_Member: True, i feel they look more of an afterthought than something that was part of the original design as a window ledge would be. Also they do provide great access/exit points for Theifs. jeeff: well, to each his own. i like good modern architecture too, but i don't see how you can argue that a fire escape is somehow less a part of the building than window ledges for example. both are "real" architectural elements. groovehouse: Thanks, CPW, I try. Cheesy_Member: Not my liking, they hide the real architecture of the buiding with these big hunks of metal, Here is a picture of the Lloyd Building in London, This is a building with a real exoskeleton :)
jeeff: i like fire escapes. they're one of my favourite fixtures of nyc architecture and i really miss them on more modern buildings. they're like the building's exoskeleton.
Cheesy_Member: Forgot to mention that the heart is called "The Heart of Midlothian" As Edinburgh is within the County of Midlothian this is deemed to be the centre of it. jeeff: ha, pretty ironic that there's a heart in such a historically grim location. i wonder what the condemned thought of that. Megan Shirreffs: Yeh Iris, Crook and Crome are MSG. Anyways, I used to date Mike, a.k.a. Crook & I am looking to get ahold of him. I don't know if anyone on here knows how I can do that I would really appreciate it. Mike, if you check this at all..I wanted... jack: i get octopus and boil water, then i dip the octopus into the water three times, 1, 2, 3, and then drop it in for another twelve minutes. then i cool it off and pell off the skin, chop up the legs and add garlic powder, extra virgin olive... Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Thanks guys. You'd think I'd know how to spell it after how much I've eaten.
I love Zoiburg. Best of all, I love Fry's dog. Catherine Penfold-Waxman:
And if they only do dry cleaning they are called cleaners. I like the lack of letters on this sign. It is false advertising, as they are not expert tailors (or even do ex ert ta l ring). I gave them a vintage 50's dress to be shortened for me... jack: i think thats directly across the street from the old luna park. jack: jamie its like this, when you go to buy shoes, you try them on first, dont you. so marriage is like a pair of shoes, you see a pair you like, you slip your foot in one then the other and you stand up. you walk around the... Catherine Penfold-Waxman: You have a lovely voice, Groovehouse. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Right on! This proves that Scotland is an independent country, and has nothing to do with the English.
Isn't it funny that a simple barrier can differ so much from country to country? jack: the thinking there of course is that the fire trucks come out on the streets and it is easier to get people out of a burning building thru the front fire escapes than it is in the rear yard. very nice photos, it really is'nt the grimier parts of... Cheesy_Member: Utterly Brilliant! Nic: I did write this! A bit of a train of thought actually Jack Cheesy_Member: That Building with the laundrette would look nicer if it wasnt for those silly fire escapes all over the front. Dont get them often in the UK and if you do they are to the back of the buildings. adam: nah.. used to live one town away.. now im 2500 miles away :) adam: jealousy adam: walkwalkdrivesitbendover elaine: i discovered a great chat up line one day when i had arrived where i was sneakily parking near work, and a big boxer dog came over and said hello to me as i opened my door.
"hello! you are a big handsome boy, aren't you?" i said in my... CAK:
a friend: after watching "mother and son" I find it incredable that even today, people still have not learned to work towards a common peace. Why do all the great people (bobby sands, william wallace, martin luther king) have to die because of our ignornce, when will we learn and what... colavito\'s ghost: The Time Warner Center makes me queasy (in the worst way). Christopher-Michael: It is owned by a family from NY. All the pictures inside are of NY and there are NY sports teams cards and posters on the wall. The food is good though. colavito's ghost: Manchester is fuckin' crazy. joey: ggp gives the most thought provoking comments. i will sometimes here her 'voice' when i'm composing a photo on the screen. thanks gg Previous Day :: Next Day |
