in response to Elephant & Castle

elaine: there is an argument that 'elepahant and castle' is a corruption of 'el infanta de castille' and that this was where a mistress of charles 1st lived. it's a contraversial theory, though. www.worldwidewords.org/qa/qa-ele1.htm

in response to Elephant & Castle

in response to Toronto\'s Finest at Work

jeeff: haha jamie, i agree! i also love long shots of central park. the huge green rectangle surrounded by skyscrapers looks really utopian.

in response to One Summer Day

jeeff: i've seen squads of bike cops out on the most bitterly cold days of winter. it must take some serious stamina to work outside (on a bike) in weather like that.

in response to Toronto\'s Finest at Work

jeeff: great composition. i always want to shoot photos when it rains, but all the water splashing around makes it so tough. any tips?

in response to Trolleys in Rain

jeeff: it's hard to judge what will prove popular on citynoise because often the comments for a given article become as much a draw as the original article itself (photos, writing, whatever). i think that collaborative effort to add value is an important part of this site.
