Previous Day :: Next Dayjack: the beauty and the ugly, together, life is strange and people are stranger. it's amazing how the natives live there in their squaler yet they are comfortable. they may not know better. jack: i think of africa as flat and barren, guess i'm learning something here, thx. jack: a friend of mine once lived in manila, during the japanese invasion. he was a young boy of 12 and was a runner for the resistence and eventually got caught and beaten but survived. jack: i can see the snowman must have been telling lies. poor chap, he has only one arm. reminds me of the boxer who got knocked down in the 2nd round and the ref was counting, 1, 2, 3, and the boxer's manager yells to him to stay down... jack: a hole waiting to be filled with it's new occupant. is that a cemetary for antelope. i'm so happy. i wake up every morning and stretch my arms out to the sides and if i dont feel any wood, i know it's gonna be a good day. jack: the hip bone's connected to the thigh bone, the thigh bone's connected to the knee bone and remember the ink spots sang that song many moons ago. that was a roaming animal that came to it's end in the desert looks like a road kill. actually it... jack: what! no snow? i'd like to listen to some cool jazz from a sax on the docks of manhattan, drinking a beer and mingling with the hippie crowd on 14th street on the docks. jack: nice photo of steeples and the moon in background. the title goes without saying for the photo of graveyard. those people once worked and toiled and let the days fly by and now none of them are complaining about taxes or anything. i often think about how... ian: Why did I have to be born in the united states. :( $incere : i lived in bushwick ma whole life on knickerbocker covert back in da day shit was ccrazy mad pplz dyin and crack and heroine on every corner and now i live on stanhope and kncikerbocker and shit is still crazy like a month ago a man got robbed and... Unknown: I am a white female from the suburbs south of Chicago. I am English, Swedish, German, Polish Russian, English, and Scottish. Driving through Humboldt Park .....It's beautiful. There are beautiful homes and parks, but the crime rate.....that is the sad part. I agree with you that yuppies are flooding... Rebecca Martin: I think Seattle is the best place in the whole world. You can see why here. Elicar: It was not me, Evil! I was there in April 2005.
It is quite funny. We have a Learning Centre there and from time to time, we go for courses. (I am supposed to be there starting today, but thanks to some divine intervention, I was spared.) We have a... Hobbs: Live Lobster Vending Machines?!? jeeff: or death day... *gulp*
btw, what exactly is happening in the first photo? jeeff: hey, the last one has the same birthday as me. jeeff: i really like the way the horizontals all kind of echo each other in photo #2. jeeff: i agree with everything you say. it frustrates me to no end the way westerners are convinced that japan is "weird". my mom visited me while i lived there and she absolutely loved the convenience, cleanliness, and safety of japan. jeeff: don't write off parkour till you see videos. it's all about movement so photos don't always capture it so well. check out this:
video.google.com/videoplay?docid . . . 27048738448&q=david+belle adam: i was looking at hotel rooms in tokyo and all the descriptions said "small and clean" elaine: sounds like an ideal night Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Thanks EvilGentleman! I know to the Canadians, a couple of feet of snow is practically summer, but I was quite surprised when the schneider shovel and I went out there.
I'm thrilled at the prospect of having an honorary Canadian status drinker and I promise to keep my beserker levels... joey: nice show EvilGentleman: Having survived many a wintry blast in places as diverse as Nunavut, Montreal, Calgary, and Atlantic Canada, I can sympathize with your plight. And while your snowfall may seem incredibly light by Canadian standards, shovelling while hung over is a major accomplishment that I personally have only done once or... EvilGentleman: Near Rigaud there is also a place where you can climb and zip along on pulleys between the trees called Arbraska www.arbraska.com. I was there on Sept 25, 2005, and I found it to be an interesting place, and my kids loved it.
Charlie Wilson, a member of the armed robbery... Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Snowtrees is FAB! Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Prowess? While a lion can mate up to 40 times a day, it's usually for only 30 seconds or so. But, it gets the job done. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: I hope you showed Mr Sax these, 'cos he would do well to get copies for his head shots. They're great. EvilGentleman: You should be. :-) hool: christine: alley just north of queen , a few blocks west of dovercourt. EvilGentleman: I have to wonder: Who exactly is he trying to impress?
My personal bet is that he is trying to reassure himself that he is a badass (maybe a flakey badass cake?).
Obviously we are either dealing with an individual who is deperately low on self-esteem, or we are dealing with a... Christine: I love that graffitied brick wall/ Where is it anyway? Christine: But No Frills is growing bigger and bigger. Everyone in my community pretty much shops there and of course, I work there so i would know how many people are strolling in for groceries. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: flakey ass cake, mmmmmm. greaser: post modern hunters being fed postmodern food of e numbers and refined sugar rather than champagne and caviar!! elaine: yeah, chavs on trial bikes, and big black hackney dogs with blood lust in their eyes from being fed biscuits... rudeboy-charlz: its alrite graffiti but im onli 11 And i can do much better!
its a tag init

l8r greaser: Do I hear the blos of horns and thundering hoofs of the hunt approaching up bethnal green road?? Watch out Mr Fox!! greaser: ooooo...he's really giving me the eye! elaine: and, evilgentleman - maybe they prefer rail travel? elaine: i think they moved in when the hedgerows became uninhabitable in the countryside, and the kentucky fried children's aroma called them from their country homes. plus, apart from the bloke i mentioned who had killed a whole lawn full of them, most urbanites think them cute and loveable, whereas most... elaine: seems a shame - development will surely kill it's bleak mojo - but we can't all be lovers of moody empty buildings i suppose... mark: castlederg is a rough little town. They love to fight especially against the other side. they think there hard men, if you want my advice stay away it is a town full of wasters, thankfully its the most isolated town in n.ireland GGP: mod sno circles!!!
i want a hat like the one the snowperson is wearing!
Paul B: I have a like new Buddy Bike that my girl and I ride often. To say the least it's a blast. We took it out one day to ride along the Cape Cod Canal and certainly we got numerous stares. I remember one day when a photographer kept taking... DERIK: Eu pratico le parkour todos os dias, tento seguir todas as dicas e fazer todas as manobras.
acho um esporte mto legal.
kc: this is very cool. Why do we not have urban foxes? Do we not have enough hounds? bumbaclaat: No idea! Anyone? EvilGentleman: Isn't that odd. The only time I recall seing a fox near the city was when I was walking across a train bridge. It was on the tracks at the end of the bridge. Maybe foxes are naturally drawn to train tracks? EvilGentleman: grrr, I posted a bad link to the municipal office above. But jeeff got it right further up the page. Just look up, at the bottom of the maps. Joe: Thank you very much i am making t-shirts my self and was despratly wondering how to do screen printing now i can thankyou thankyou thankyou EvilGentleman: I almost forgot... the cargo ships are based in Montreal and Quebec City, as well as a cruise ship based in Kuujjuaq. This is also in the north, (see map so kindly provided by jeeff) so you would have to fly there, but Kuujjuaq is a lot cheaper to fly... EvilGentleman: adam, there are three ways to get to Kangirsujuaq, but only two of them are realistic. The primary mode of transportation into town is by airline. The only airline that goes there on a scheduled basis is Air Inuit, and I believe a round trip ticket from Montreal costs around... adam: is it hard to get there? if people wanted to visit are there hotels/motels? looks amazing.. yet a bit barren/lonely Guy McLaren: We have the same problem with stupidity in Africa, seems to be a worldwide issue then. Guy McLaren: Why thank you barry Guy McLaren: Funding, yeah planning no way. Leave it wild, thats the way we like it. Biff: I see a book coming...
elaine: the other thing that i don't like about the pigeon is the way that they have a penchant for looking like they suffer. the damn things live in underground stations, for gods sake! feathers all scruffed up, feet mashed. i don't like it. i don't like it. elaine: they are a decent size, but they can also hunker right down. you can see them at night zooming alone almost flat to the ground. they tend not to be quite so bold in the daytime, in fact this is the only one i have ever seen in daylight, and... elaine: yeah, i can hear vangelis... elaine: lovely selection ian: Why do people even try? ian: Thanks, but I'm not a professional by a long shot :) colavitos ghost: this shit is absolute bullcrap. so lame. read a book. or buy a skateboard. colavitos ghost: getting home to brooklyn tonight was an absolute nightmare. one of those experiences so tragically unbearable that you can't help but laugh about it once you're finally into the warm (mmm.....warm....) adam: these look like some pretty serious professional photographs joey: you know who you are . . let's see some more. joey: i love looking at this page. in a sci-fi way. joey: let it snow, let it sno Elicar: Thanks Barry! pot: el ja . el mejor bambardeador pa mi .saludos makina barry: Great photos Guy of south africa. barry: Elicar great photos love tham. Zorba: Love the drifting snow flakes.. taken from a moving car window or while stuck in traffic? .. a little less foreground would help if you crop it... have not driven in TO's rush-hour traffic in 2 decades & don't miss it yet.. Zorba: message on sign: "trees were inventions of the rich" Elicar: It took a lot of hard work, dedication and sacrifice for those Canadian women athletes to get there. Canada has put her medal hopes on this team. Playing their best in every game will keep the players psyched up and focused in winning that gold. The absence of competition should...
