procyon: If they leave it the way it is, it will fall down, possibly on someone, within a few decades. Some people suspect the Parks Department is hoping for exactly that, so they'll have an excuse to tear it down.

in response to Its Been Almost Two Years Since I Posted

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: I'm fond of hippos. If you happen upon a flock, pride or wallow of hippos, I'd love to see them.

CartLegger: These are great shots, Guy! I remember driving through Transkei and Ciskei, and seeing old abandoned towns like this, part of the forgotten geography of apartheid.

in response to Honeybird Bridge and Ruins

Andrew Smith: Natalie The large brick bus shelter was knocked down a few years ago - they are all plastic vandal-proof bus stops now. The vicarage and band stand are still there. I'll take more pictures if it ever stops raining!

in response to These Things No Longer Exist

Rael OneCloud: Yes! This is one of my favourite buildings ever... did you know back in the 80s you could still walk through it? It has the most amazing echo if you stand in the center. Me and my friends would go there and shout at the sky, or play music.

in response to Abandoned... NY State Pavilion

Natalie Waterworth (Brophy): Thanks guys, how about a few pics ? :) :) Of anything in irlam. Is the large bus shelter at the top of Ferryhill road diagonal from *Culshaws* still there? What about the vicarage behind st Johns? Does anyone remember the old bandstand near the fire station end...

in response to Abandoned... NY State Pavilion

eyeofodin: to put it nicely Guy, you should keep photography as a hobby, since it seems to be a huge passion of yours. But from what I have seen so far, I do not find these sellable. I am not a PRO, but just giving you some critique.

in response to Its Been Almost Two Years Since I Posted

in response to Shoe Tree

Guy: @CartLegger I will definitely do more urban and periurban landscapes including townships and more. @Peter I am in the area of the Govt buildings on Monday, I will attempt to get a few new shots for you Thank you both for your considered input, I will most definitely attempt to meet...
