Previous Day :: Next Dayjack: no comment jack: its funny, i cant stand graff it makes me think of the downfall of art. yet if these so called artists would only use oils on a canvas it would probably look better. jack: peter i hope all is fine with you. i remember the strike in 1965. i was home on leave and i had to drive to take the staten island ferry from brooklyn and then the ferry to manhattan. i worked on cedar street and washington street. jack: looks like an invasion of iron spiders jack: i bet you like the raisin type bagels. i like the salt ones. jack: she was a cold bitch. could never warm up to her. she ran off with some guy named, 'frosty'. i hate him. i wonder if they ever made snowballs. elaine: i always think of the chrysler building as a balinese dancer JJ: Choo:
Yes! I wish I had one of those.
Jeeff:
That's exactly it. "Get away embarrassment" Describes the feeling perfectly. Peter: awesome! that reminds me... i have a ton of similar shots taken from the "top of the rock" back in november on the night it re-opened. i really need to edit those and post eme here... Peter: heh... i stayed home yesterday, but went in today because i had a dr's appointment, and as it was right across the street from my office, i decided, why not...
ill snap more photos on the way home and on the way in tomorrow, if the strike persists... Catherine Penfold-Waxman: There's my lovely Chrysler building. Fabulous shot. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: I second that emotion. I knew Peter would document the strike! Good man.
I set out with every intention of walking to 55th and 3rd from Astoria with two of my neighbors. We got about two blocks and a yellow cab stopped for us. Capitalist, lazy (cold) bastard that I am... r.: hot throws, man. bklyn keeps it locked the fuck down. oneon: This was taken on top of the Empire state building the lens rested on the fence. Thanx GGP: hey, been waiting for you to weigh in on the strike, Peter. good views and some great bridge shots. bummer about the flat. GGP: it IS a great building; a true stand-alone, an anomaly.
and nice to see these additional boners. Peter: more boner, spotted in prospect heights:
Laura : Wow- this is great. Where is it taken from, a helicopter? jeeff: i really am tempted to ask about the first one, but i'll restrain myself. i like the lava flowing over the road too. i wish we had some lava flows around here to liven things up a bit. carmen ambrose: hi, my name is carmen ambrose if it ok i would like to get some fire patches form the F.D.N.Y. . if you can PLEASE. THANK YOU VERY MUCH
mail to carmen ambrose

... GGP: these are amazing, aesthetically and for the philosophical invitation they provide. i love the lava flowing over the road. good perspective on the human project indeed! and beautiful to look at as well. germinal: i think its one of those words that brings joy to anyone that
says it.
GOURANGA - yup, doesitfor me still! elaine: beigal, natch Jamie (on location): Ok so i'm here at railworld. Nothing much has changed and i'm somewhat disappointed.
i'm not sure whether this is a threat or a statement of fact.
these are on a footbridge leading to railworld
jack: wherever you guys are i wish i was there. my family lives in ca. they moan when it hits 50 degrees. i'd like to moan like that here in new york. jack: animals are animals. they are cute and friendly, cry for the human child. the one hurt by other humans. ive seen men get killed, but i always cry when i see a child hurt. jack: a star waiting for a star to die. jack: check out mann. jack: looking at the long shadows, could be morning or afternoon, either way the mobile is facing east or west, which means it needs wind from the north or south to move, thereby creating an east or west current in the pool, which means that salmon could never make it in... jack: elaine, if a bird that flies over the sea is called a seagull, what do you call a bird that flies over the bay? jack: i like the fence around the tree. that is my favorite place in town. jack: actually that was pidgeon recusitation. jack: the first photo looks like a small lunch on a strange planet. remember, this planet earth is volatile and can change our existance at any moment. jack: very nice, i have one of those in my garden, got to take a photo for you guys. jack: to my dear, lovely, elaine, the cheese could be a gjetost cheese made by ski queen. you can probably get some in a cheese specialty store or by contacting a norwegian food company. by the way i always thought that this site was more of an artistic site... Name: Yeah right "Salvador" thats sound really great selling weed to your fellow students wow. Well try siting in the sun all day in a dry dry desert. Always on guard because your enemy is always on your back unafraid to die. You sacrifice your time your effort any for some... elaine: hawaii appears to be harbouring a giant elephant just about to emerge from the surface Another thought from JJ: This thought I wrote after I saw some homeless people on North Ave. In the fall of 2005
I found a man
who lived in ten
double lined garbage bags
filled with newspapers,
tossed by the West side crowds,
making a nest for no one special
just a survivor,
a wastebarrel hunter
who found the paper we carry... JJ speaks of these realities: Peace is a dirty word
It used to be a painted bird
War is a whore, don't you know we love her more and more.
Killers
The paper's merciless in reminding us
who shares the planet with our avengegeness.
They frighten and fascinate.
We have to read their stories.
We have to keep them in front of... yadontknowboutstreets: First i have to say that Bushwick is not something to be scared of. There are way more dangerous streets than this neighborhood that has a whole bunch of little boys that think they are tough and can easily be intimidated. The females are not even to speak... barry:
this was a two hour drive an two walk.
2003 flow
Myke: Pigeons didn't bother me until I saw a dead one on a tram line with a crowd of pigeons around it, one of which was humping the corpse. No, I did not take a photo. Previous Day :: Next Day |
