Previous Day :: Next DayGGP: they're actually pretty good-looking birds; if they were so overpopulated we'd probably treasure them. elaine: outside of a dog a book is man's best friend
inside of a dog it's too dark to read
(marx, g) ea: it's classified here in Oregon as a noxious weed and revolutionaries are staging guerrilla warefare to rid Forrest Park of it. they are known as the No Ivy League. the city park is over 5000 acres, however...so...good luck fellas. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: We like to stalk. It's good for the calves. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Fine taste in women you have, Jack. jack: i thought it was an alien's shadow. jack: the second photo is of a goat. llamas have majical powers, if you grab one by the ear it will follow you anywhere. and if you sleep with llamas you will marry an ass. i know this because a guy i knew, his mother was married to... jack: the first snow figure looks like a girl i once dated in 1960 jack: oh, oh an intellectual. they say a mans best friend is a dog, well after 60 a toilet is a mans best friend. jack: stalking is bad and i wish elaine and catherine would stop stalking me. its embarressing and im getting scared. jack: bisquick, bisquick, your pants are on fire. jack: they are stupid kids out to kill or be killed. they have no future, no vision, no desire, no GOD> they are death waiting to happen. and they vote! anon (external47-162.cps.k12.il.us): what do you think about the MLDZ and LATINKINGS gang war going on right now Catherine Penfold-Waxman: I made an attempt to go to work, but took one look at the backed-up traffic and hundreds of people walking toward the 59th street bridge and turned back. If I can avoid walking 4 miles in subzero weather, I will. Luckily, I can telecommute, so I'm at home working... jeeff: a few years ago i used to dislike them, but then i had a change of heart.
ps. i bet the sidewalks aren't so empty today. i bet there are some crazy photo opportunities during the transit strike in new york GGP: wow. that's quite a story.
lovely shadows/birds. GGP: as are giant pink sea snails.
alpacas are also cute. they look like UFOs, but spit green bile when you make them angry. Jamie: wow. not only a vespa but a shadow of a vespa. now all we need is ellis g. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Llamas are evil! They bite and spit.
Pushmepullyous are ok though. elaine: yeah, it was nice watching it and starting off with just a passing interest as a nature nerd and then getting more and more drawn in. i had forgotten about the dog thing at the beginning until the end when she filmed a walk with her new puppy and i... elaine: it's a bit of a cheat. that bit about the nostril hair is supposed to be just paying attention to the breath at the nose while you breathe in and out, but i suddenly got seaweed, and now i always do it.
don't get me started on visualisation - i am... GGP: that's a great visualization, elaine. GGP: well, the doc sounds great. i can personally relate to the scenario, and that scenario is, in part, how i found my way to citynoise. long, dogless walks in springtime lead me to pet bird and from there to citynoise. Now that I have a pup, the walks are different... GGP: i've heard that llamas are very territorial. i've heard they make good guard animals. i've heard...well, i've heard (and herded) a lot of things. elaine: and the laugh, and the broken tear ducts (that was mustard gas, also not genetic) roland: 5) displayng an irrational hatred for John Wayne
6) saying you can't take a bus coz they belong to the council
7) taking their bride to a hibs match after their wedding ceremony
8) losing their fingers in amuntion factories
ok - no 8 might not be genetic elaine: yeah, i like that topsy turvy world of cheap shit transiting into prescioussss when abroad. i knew someone who went to australia and wore her doc martens to work in a chippie - eminently sensible in any workplace, and her workmates were horrified at her wearing such prescious things to... Jamie: Stella is French you fool. Though i do agree that Stella == Wifebeater. And kobe, you are a chav. I'm feling argumentative this afternoon. Apparently in the US, Stella is considered gourmet premium foreign shit. And has a price tag to match. Sweet. elaine: my idea? go to italy and look out for;
1) blanket bombing salt and pepper action
2) people who constantly tap their companion's arm while talking to them
3) people who have a disconserting resemblence to scottish cartoon characters 'the broons'
4) anyone actually acting out whole scenes from films just by way... roland: knew you'd like WW1 reference, if grandad is omniscient now he'll also know that mum didn't put pudding on the table untill he'd finished his mains due to his shock and awe approach to applying salt and pepper to his food. Back to WW1 & grandad - I still... elaine: ha. you slay me with the flanders field thing - grandad would have liked that story i think. i wonder if there really is an afterlife where he and grannie know how we used to play grannie and grandad by nashing around the living room on our knees? roland: yeah - only the posh people, like the kids of the checkout women at the co-op had access to fancy bits of cardboard as makeshift sledges. bin liners were the trend for corstorphine hill, which was quite steep, - the challenge was to get enough speed for a thrill... elaine: my brother used to call that poly bagging - they used to use bin bags - this was edinburgh i add, you couldn't do anything like this in the balmy south elaine: i have had perpsyckich connections with you before in the minor league, but this one takes the (sea) biscuit THE ANIMALS BYE: the only real train rockers are in bayonne city zoo in france (west side) Jamie: i'm liking the pastel shades of late a lot Jamie: if ($nostril["hair"] == "seaweed") $brain = $coral Peter: dude. this photo is fantastic. i might need to get a print of this:
i cant help it if im a bird man. joey: ivy will never die. i got a ton in my backyard. every year i whack it back, and every year it grows in again. dug: not pretty... that hurts.. our city is beautiful Previous Day :: Next Day |
