www.citynoise.org/article/4864/by/sine sine: now you can wear sodium
www.citynoise.org/article/4864/by/sine FLUXUS72,DENMARK: nIce piCture noTHing than thE BOMB and the girl EvilGentleman: I never noticed this article before. He's right, it looks like Jean Charest, the Premier of Quebec. ksedge: did anyone rescue it? please say yes...it's painful to see such a great piece of machinery left abandoned... anonymus: Quebec Premier ksedge: is that 2nd photo for real? if that's not tweaked at all, it's unbelieveable. EvilGentleman: Ok, will do. Next time I pass the corner of Victoria Avenue and The Boulevard in Westmount, I will have a look-see. EvilGentleman: Funny you should mention that. I was trying just last week to figure out how to do an urb-ex of the industrial buildings at the corner of Angrignon and Pullman, and I have been paying attention to the removal of most of the old railyard rails, but I could not... zagg: I'd love an update if you do find out the date, thanks :) SaneSmith: Maybe, maybe not......
aer suzuki: so this whole time Eldritch was singing about a van with a coke logo? SaneSmith: Here's the original article that started all the trouble. Chris Erb: The shoes and candle holders have disappeared and the rice has been spilled. Something tells me Craig has yet to get his key back. Chris Erb: Here's an update taken on Friday while walking to the bus depot to get to Sussex.
Neath: I like your photos! If you have anything about Turcot Yards or the Interchange I would be happy to post it on my blog, Walking Turcot Yards, contact me at charlie_dunver@yahoo.ca Susannah : It made me chuckle to see this lady in her 40's enjoying herself on the swings. I was sure the other Mom's didn't like it - but she was having such a good time they got over it. I cropped this down to about 20% of the original picture to... jay: is this ting still dare? EvilGentleman: Oh, I thought I was looking across the East River, with Brooklyn in the foreground and Manhattan in the background. I guess it would be a little smaller if I was looking at Manhattan, wouldn't it? Thanks. ::.BuTtlick.::: man hes such a fuckin copy get ur own burner burnso: you guys rock!! Baz: Murdering bastards. Baz: The ira are murdering terrorist scum. Nothing more. EvilGentleman: III and IV are ♪♫♪ to my eyes. Baz: These scum were nothing but terrorists. Baz: He was an ira Terrorist and as such is now burning in hell. Peter: i love the photos of the roads, pavement and overpasses. so pretty. thanks for these excellent photos and a great post! it reminded me alot of this post... EvilGentleman: For some reason, I find myself very heavily reminded of the scenery in Jet Set Radio Future, a SEGA game produced by SmileBit, that I have on my Xbox. Susannah : I'm not sure how I feel about the roads and pavement - but your photos are pretty thrilling. Peter: thats actually the williamsburgh savings bank (1, 2)... which i coincidentally saw a documentary on last night. its the tallest building in brooklyn and will be until ratner's atlantic yards scheme happens... groovehouse: Fill 'em up, download 'em and fill 'em up again! Susannah : I felt the same way in Church last Sunday. I was sick to my stomach remembering the newspaper photos I'd seen of the casualties - especially the women and children -- ashamed at how the leaders of my country don't really seem to care, and how they're supposed to believe... jamie: i love signs almost as much as i love sodium EvilGentleman: All in proper juxtaposition. Sign strikes again! I also like the top of the Woolworth Building poking out of the background sky. EvilGentleman: I do tend to be a bit verbose, don't I? Mind you, I'm me, and no matter who posts, I'll still be myself. I'm glad ksedge thought to post this article, and I appreciate your compliments, chiamattt. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Yeah!
I'm going to Boulder, CO next week and I'm taking every flashcard we've got in the house. EvilGentleman: She was succesfully battling for her purse, but when the kid started reaching for something in his pocket, she thought, "Fuck it! Not worth that much!", and so she let go. EvilGentleman: Ok, as much as I love Timmies, that is ludicrous! That is as much of a sin as Don MacLean allowing Madonna to do a cover version of American Pie!
Night club... mayyyyybe... EvilGentleman: Sounds like the typical Canadian and/or Quebec films of the 80's come back to life. "Profits? What are profits? We were thinking grants and tax deductions, eh?"
Canadian films are generally indy films that absorb government grants, in the vain attempt to develop a Canadian culture that is distinct from the... groovehouse: CPW, a photo spree would be nice! colavitos ghost: joey-you guessed it! my name is really a reference to the curse that rocky left when the tribe traded him away. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: you have to have good eyes to spot copies. Grange: You live life on the edge evil .... .lol... sorry about your wife though . must have been scary Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Blessed be. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: Needs curtains. Catherine Penfold-Waxman: This is stunning.
Sometimes I wish I could fall into a picture, like Alice through the looking glass. I'd jump into this one, turn around and see you, Groovehouse and we'd go on a gonzo photo spree. Susannah : These are fabulous, you need to do a book - I need you to do a book. sine: their printing has improved....I have a few things they have done. Chris Erb: It must get drafty in the winter though. Peter: such minimal architecture! Ger van de Ven: Comment from Mejorada del Campo
Mejorada: 7th Jul 2006 - 15:17 GMT
Hello all. I lived in Mejorada for 3 years. The cathedral is amazing, but not so much people trust in all this efforts. Many kids there say this guy is crazy. We all should call the Mayor of this city... chiamattt: Using a Nikon F4. chiamattt: Evil, if the A330 is better...well I know how it is. I have an HP digi that my mom got free with an HP printer and its better MP than my D1, but to be honest, I hate it. The way it feels in my hand is ubercrap. You got... jfilip: I saw a trailer for that movie recently. I don't think it's a Quebec film, or at least it's a partnership between Ontario and Quebec. But, yeah, it looks like it's trying really hard to be a big, blockbuster film (in the vein of Lethal Weapon): two cops... rams: yeah it may be a banksy imitation but its the point that the image gets across that counts. im sure if banksy himself saw it hed probs be glad people are seeing hsi work and imitating it cus at least the message of it is getting around to different places.... EvilGentleman: Also, my wife was robbed downtown in January by a trio of wannabe gangstas who would not have been in the area, if the Hell's Angels were not in jail, cuz punks like that would have been chased out of the area.
By the way, for those wondering why they were... EvilGentleman: They were supposed to kill me. They chose not to. I like that. Grange: http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/story/CTVNews/20060410/biker_feature_060410/20060411?hub=CTVNewsAt11 Grange: Evil , I suprised by you , Didnt the hells angels and the rock machine have a turf war in the montreal a while back ? Seems to me some kid got blown up and some poor guy was mistaken for a biker get shot pumping gas ?
Their... benji:
Canon EOS 350D, i still have my old sony cybershot dsc-p73 that served me well :) Grange: it would make a nice night club , or timmies .... EvilGentleman: No clue, but I see a cornerstone at the bottom of the tower. I guess next time I pass there, I will have to actually get out of the car and take a look. zagg: any idea when that first fire deptartment building was built? zagg: i really like the architecture of the home. zagg: *sigh* it may have been easier to just copy paste the whole damn article....
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dyke_March zagg: ok wiki is hating me: try... dyke_march zagg: yep, you heard me right. i prefer the march over the parade --- maybe for semi-obvious reasons --- plus its far more grass roots and not a big giant corporate showcase like the parade tends to be. i was a bit disapointed i didn't get to walk in the... EvilGentleman: Of course, the red paint often fades in the sun, producing a most interesting result.
Pauly: It is a sad fact, that, this stuff is needed because thieves will climb on anything in order to break in to a property.
Unfortunatly, the hedious signs are needed because said thieves will sue the property owner if they slip and hurt themselves and were not warned.
Another case of win... aer suzuki: cool shades of bluish greys, an instant favorite. phill: Have you been to cabrini green
phill: Have you been to cabrini green
EvilGentleman:
Our old cameras, as taken with my current camera.
Kodak DC280 2MP
$810 in 2000
Used as primary for both me and my wife from August 2000 to July 2003. Sent for repairs. Came back for duty as my wife's primary from May 2004 to May 2006. Now in use as my wife's... mr.one: that yard is long gone due to that gay rail runner train...every thin in those pix is painted white. thanks to the losers who work for the albuquerque buff squad..keep it up jerkoffs.......... EvilGentleman: Interesting comment above from Hellfire Jack, but what the hell does it have to do with London parkour, or any of the other comments here?
FOR CITYNOISE!
NO UNDERSTAND. EvilGentleman: Neo-classical is right. The date on it reads 1948. EvilGentleman: Nice shot, morbid medium. EvilGentleman: I see the Marlboro boxes were sold out as well. Only soft packs left. I wonder why the Marlboro box smokes are 82.5mm long, and the soft pack ones are the standard king size of 85mm? And regular Canadian smokes are 70mm. joey: frou-frou dogs Jin: Okay Up there diffenitly isnt Sane so fucking stop trying to pose a lengend show sane some respect. joey: evilg - i'm a beach boy. daddy took the t-bird, and my goatee is hidden by the camera.
jon - this is at maxi's on mayfield rd. little italy. more cleveland photos to come.
mr. ghost - is that rocky colavito you refernece in your name? he was my hero.
catherine -... EvilGentleman: And my arctic photos are so remote, that even rural does not work to describe them.
aer: I figured as much. Thanks. zagg: no worries, my images of my city would appear to be rural to big city dwellers - but it's all good - everyone is friendly folk and enjoys seeing everyone elses view of their cities. aer suzuki: EvilGentleman: I'm surprised you could read any of it, actually. That wall just added an extra angle for me, I wasn't even thinking about the text...
