Previous Day :: Next DaySomeone in Detroit metro: Wow.....some of the comments made here have been really ignorant, but then again everone is entitled to their own opinions right? Here's mine:
I have lived in Detroit metro area my whole life. I live about 35 minutes from the city of Detroit itself. Detroit is NOTHING compared... rosecolored glasses: i had taken a picture of the house on central ave and hart street but misplaced it.
the house is on the north side of central, it has black bars to the second floor. Its funny because my father good friend tooty lived their when they were growing up in the... Matthew C: Removing shoes is an excellent custom.I wish more people would do it here in the UK. serlingrod: not only is that a really cool bridge, that's also a really great lookin' tugboat. it almost looks like a children's toy.
aer: i like them all but that second one is especially cool. aer : nice set, i love the "from the archives" feature, didn't see these before. jeeff: heh why did i say akihabara? i lived there and taught english, just saving up money so i could go back to school (for urban geography). i spent a few long nights like that, usually ending up in a yoshinoya. never got free gyudon tho... jeeff: happy birthday joey, i dig the 3d effect on this one. dinakara: the top photo is amazing. seriously amazing. cor take 2: sorry for the random comment like 3 years later but someone just mentioned to me they saw this old post and got a bit offended going on about gentrification and such. and i will say this, i've been back through that hood a bunch of times since moving to... corsakti: just to clear something up, for anyone who misunderstood - i wasn't tryin to badmouth humboldt park in general, we lived in a rented house there for years and were fine with it. our neighbors kids hung out at our house all the time, we all got along. we... landlord: I'm a landlord and I have to say that from my point of view it all comes down to who is going to be a good tenant.
The tenant that is going to pay on time and respect the place where they live, that to me is what I'm looking for.... vanessa: ahhh im always there! i hope you tried the st. viateur bagels! and schwartz smoke meat. theyre pretty close.. vanessa: wow, gorgeous.
but you havent hit st michel pie 9 st. leonard area! vanessa: resident of mtl. never got to see a show at the spectrum. too bad ill never get the chance.
