Previous Day :: Next Day

Biff: Is that building even safe??....Looks like a pretty strong wind would make the building sway.....

in response to Skinny Building

markus: Evil are talking about pigeon park that we discussed before and no I not that old I just thought about high school days

in response to Disco Fever

aer suzuki: not sure, i think this place used to rent cars, so the pumps would've been used to fuel them up beforehand? you don't see that kind around much anymore, maybe they just keep them around for the sake of nostalgia.

in response to Parking

bob: sum it up "Outlaw bikers"

in response to Hell\'s Angels - New York City

shelia/neworleans: OK THE OLD WAY OF LIVING IS OVER. IT IS; SO... HATE ME IF YOU MUST. HOW MANY YEARS HAVE THEY BEEN TALKING ABOUT TEARING DOWN THE PROJECTS AND PUTTING UP CONDOS? HOW LONG WAS THE IDEA OF THIS HENTTED BEFORE IT WAS OUT ON THE TABLE? WHAT? THE...

in response to Cabrini Green [whats left of it]

Cosmo: Excellent! But it's not even wide enough for a stairwell...how do they get to the upper floors?

in response to Skinny Building

Sirhcbre: Nice collection of eateries. Do you have any pictures of the largest pig?

in response to Food on a Stick

EvilGentleman: Hmmm, Markus... I thought you were my friend Marc, who still lives in Montreal. He uses MARKUS as his MSN nick quite often, and your first comment appeared right after I spoke to him about citynoise. I now see that you are someone entirely different, and probably somewhat older. My...

in response to Disco Fever

Markus: thats what everybody looked like when I use to live in Montreal

in response to Disco Fever

Markus: I knew about the expo latino and I was going to go but decided to hitchhike through the mountains before winter, thanks for reminding me what I missed, excellent pics

in response to Expo Latino 2006 (Calgary)

Peter: also check www.resurrectdead.com and for more photos, particularly: www.resurrectdead.com/sightings_ . . . gs_index_philadelphia.htm www.resurrectdead.com/sightings_index_nyc.htm www.resurrectdead.com/sightings_ . . . gs_index_other_cities.htm

in response to Toynbee Tiles

Cosmo: The tiles seem to be disappearing due to cities fixing up their old roads...I'm so glad I got these images of the Detroit ones, so far as I know no one else has published images of these. (I sent these photos to www.toynbee.net/ so the site could add them...

in response to Toynbee Tiles

martin Loughridge: Hi I have moved to barnoldswick from manchester and just would like to say it,s how much a like living in this town .

in response to Barnoldswick

JJ: Excellent pics! I'm so glad to see Toynbee Tiles here on citynoise. I heard about them a couple of months ago and came here looking for pics. I hope to see more from other cities too.

in response to Toynbee Tiles

EvilGentleman: No problem, but I should point out, I didn't invite you to move here, but I figured a vacation might be called for one day. Besides, you ain't seen nothing until you see French-Canadian rodeo cowboys in action. Muahahahahaha! And I'll return to Calgary (I used to live there in...

in response to Expo Latino 2006 (Calgary)

Sherlock77: Thanks guys... Maura is very hot, fully agreed. As I've said elsewhere I essentially got lucky on that shot, when they are moving so much and so fast all you can do sometimes is keep firing and see what happens with the end result. But I am a westerner, and quite...

in response to Expo Latino 2006 (Calgary)

EvilGentleman: Imagine filling all the potholes around here with tiles like this. Cool.

in response to Toynbee Tiles

EvilGentleman: Actually Chris, I believe we were stopped at the stop sign at St Joseph just past 27th Avenue in the borough of Lachine when you took this shot. On Google Earth, the corner of the wall behind them seems to be located at 45°26'01.51"N, 73°41'18.40"W Pretty impressive shot, considering you did it...

in response to Disco Fever

EvilGentleman: jack, your good manners and decency seem to interfere with you being able to say it like it is here, so I will try to assist in a non-diplomatic manner. Holy shit, that chick is hot. Damn! Talk about well-built, and the micro-mini does not hurt, either. Hope I was able...

in response to Expo Latino 2006 (Calgary)

groovehouse: Very cool! Thanks for the photos and wiki link! I had no idea these existed!

in response to Toynbee Tiles

Peter: ive seen these in nyc before, and always wondered what the backstory was... thanks for sharing, and thanks for that wiki link!

in response to Toynbee Tiles

Sirhcbre: This is the only one of this sort. Most of the entrances to the Metro here are pretty ugly kiosks. They're usually very utilitarian looking concrete bunkers that take up half a block.

in response to Montreal or Paris?

jack: good find.

in response to Toynbee Tiles

jack: ok here goes,,the girl leaning up against wall is thinking, my boyfriend just got off a horse and his buddy is pointing to an old clothes store that sells 70's style clothing and the other girl is fat because she needs the weight to hold up all the hair.

in response to Disco Fever

jack: nice shot. did any of you ever wonder why there are skyscrapers at each end of manhattan and a vally in the middle? it is because the ground in the middle is too soft to support skyscrapers. no bed rock. if anyone out there knows more...

in response to Manhattan\'s Blue Period

jack: i wish we had that kind of entrance to our trains here in new york.

in response to Montreal or Paris?

jack: maura is in pretty good shape there, ahhh, ahh i mean she looks very athlectic.

in response to Expo Latino 2006 (Calgary)

jack: have i ever told you all i go extremely insane for flamingo dancers.

in response to Expo Latino 2006 (Calgary)

volvoman87: hmmm i love old volvos because i have one. i like everything about them and this site makes me wish i was there to check those volvos out and try to make them come back to life!

in response to Dead Volvos

Senanu Awunyo-Akaba: What a scene of beauty! Wow I love you New York City. God bless America

in response to The Bridges of New York City

Cosmo: Okay, returning to sweep up my own mess here...turns out any talk of using biodiesel in a standard two stroke scooter engine is just rumour. I may be falling for a prank here, asking for help with such a thing. I'll table the biodiesel ideas until I actually...

in response to Toronto\'s Got the Right Idea...

Biff: They only bloom one day... Hopefuly I've got a gourd before first frost. Biff

in response to Crown of Thorns Gourd Blossom

Susannah: I am so there.

in response to New Ideal Diner

Susannah: People who hold the door open so the train can't leave the station.

in response to Things I Hate About... Public Transit

Cosmo: ack ... I meant to say 2-stroke scooter...didn't want anyone to think I have a new exotic machine here...

in response to Toronto\'s Got the Right Idea...

Cosmo: hool, I will soon be trying to search the 'net for myself, but I want to ask you since you might be able to narrow my search: can we just dump biodiesel straight into the tank of a conventional 3-stroke scooter, or will engine mods be needed? I'll...

in response to Toronto\'s Got the Right Idea...

kim: yea defenitly an 80's retro place

in response to Semi Urban Ireland
