Previous Day :: Next Dayjeeff: ian, i see your photos of construction workers and wonder, "how have construction workers changed since october, 2005?" please update us. joey: little ukraine: you must have been downtown, or on the east side if you were remembering my posts of cleveland. i'm thinking about a trip to cleveland in october. visit my mother for her birthday, and get more images to post on citynoise. joey: enfants en bas âge Chiamattt: The irony is that Americans are, as a nation, known for not traveling abroad. I wish more did. Perhaps they'd understand the world better. There should be more "Yankee Leave Home" grafs out there. CartLegger: Biff, I think you are uploading the wrong size photos. There are really very tiny. Unless this a conceptual flair, I would recommend uploading them again. Maire : Great Photos. I wish that you had told the name of the streets these buildings were on. I was born in St. Louis and my grandmother lived at
11th and Montgomery. I lived with her for awhile and attended
St. Michael's School. EvilGentleman: You know the great irony here is that the graf reads "Yankee Go Home", yet it actually directed towards George W. Bush, who is not a Yankee, but a Texan. But then again, he was born in Connecticut, so maybe he is a Yankee after all.
This graf could potentially hurt... EvilGentleman: The simple reality is, Americans are welcomed warmly by most Montrealers, and generally disliked but tolerated by the rest. And that dislike is often because they are getting mistaken for Torontonians, or other English-speaking Canadians.
Dislike of Americans is more likely to occur among the English speakers, but when faced with... Smatt: Lovin the hesr. upfromflames: Chris: Many props to you for expressing your opinion in this forum. I hope my students at Bushwick Campus will do the same sort of thing: to speak what they know.
CE: A Canadian flag wouldn't do you much good in Quebec. serlingrod: my friends advised me to sew a Canadian flag onto my bookbag before visiting, lol. are there alot of americans in this part of town? Cay: Good for you, Chris. The "culture" of the "gentrifiers" is not to be valued more than any other culture. We must all be invited to the table. ALL OF US. Crime happens to all of us,"just some 12 year old" and "gentrifiers" and people on "walking tours." ... ERBEN_FKC RBC_214: i so wish that spot was still hot Biff: Wow! What a wonderful diverse community. germz: 26 (?) pics: 16 contain large (25% or more of total) areas of underexposure; 15 contain garbage or spills; in almost every case something is tightly packed -- people, magazines, autos, bikes, etc.
it does "feel" like "open" and "clean" space is not readily available. dense, urban and commercial are... EvilGentleman: I just took pictures of this church, then used Google to look up what the name of the church was and when it burned. And then I see a link to this article. Funny thing is, I somehow missed this article. Good one, CE. I guess this will become one... Gary: I enjoyed this very much. Actually was going to email the 89 street photo to my sister, as it shows where we grew up on 90 th and Third. We lived there from the 50's to the mid 70's, and both attended Good Counsel.
It was a great place to grow... Belev:

Belev: Just moved here from DC. Where the hell do you paint around here? It is like the city of the buff.
barry: I have not been down here in like 7 years. barry: I think thay are going work with it how. Some people say that the bridge is sinking. Previous Day :: Next Day |
