Previous Day :: Next Dayserlingrod:
serlingrod: [[img:19656]
Tokyo has to be my favorite. I studied abroad there last spring (came home one year ago yesterday actually. I got a similar shot of the skyline as in the OP....the amazing view from Odaiba. Odaiba is a manmade island in the middle of Tokyo Bay, which serves as an... serlingrod: always love healthy neighborhoods! thanks for sharing! CE: Weird, the Gramz tag has been popping up all over downtown Montreal lately. S/He must have moved. jenny: I think its funny how Houston is always hating on Dallas! Chill out.. everyone knows Dallas is better! ;) Sandra: I stayed in Northern Ireland for five years,and found the scenery beautifull,and house prices were cheap.
The weather is awful,with rain most days,The people are friendly,However Racism does excist,and unless you are irish then you are never really excepted.Defnitley do not go there if you are coloured firecraker: i never heard of wittner before. i'll have to check him out. thanks for the tour of your hood. EvilGentleman: I was just thinking, why not keep the hot topics, but disable the auto-updating, just manually update it monthly, including only the top 10 searches related to actual content at citynoise. EvilGentleman: And here is the entrance as seen from the sidewalk.
EvilGentleman: Or force-feed them Red Bull to the point that they are too jittery to fly the plane. EvilGentleman: Que SERA, SERA...
EvilGentleman: Okay, so you have most people walking around in T-shirts (or even no shirts) and sandals, yet you have another person walking around with a ski mask, gloves, and a camera? And then you have the guy with the salt-and-pepper hair waering a Tweety Bird backpack and a party hat?... joey: you could also kill the crew with the ecoli on the spinach leaves in that salad joey: eel EvilGentleman: Similar (or is it identical?) to the first pic from Westmount, is this meter from 18th Avenue in Lachine alongside Lachine City Hall.
maybetoday: All of St. Louis isn't as clean cut as these pictures show. I've only started taking my camera around as I walk through the City recently and these are the first places I've been photographing. Benton Park, for example, took a long time to look as clean and... Peter: nice. when i think of st. louis, all i see in my head is the the arch... now, i have some new mental pictures. thanks! post more...!
also: yeah, i gotta second the call for more info/pics of jasper's radio museum... Catherine Penfold-Waxman: It would have been a good way to get another grand daughter. I like the picture of the guys. Its nice to see that kind of closeness CE: Thanks! The tripod makes such a huge difference with night photography. These pictures came out much better than in this post when I didn't have a tripod (and was using a shitty camera setting). CE: St. Louis looks like a very nice city, much more intact than I would have expected. CE: These are some of my favourite types of posts. The one's that give you a real sense of the city and its neighbourhoods. shoot it straight: Also, i agree C-Town is good, the deli on the corner of Knickerbocker and Suydam, good too, and you can't beat the shopping on Knickerbocker. shoot it straight: Some of these post make me smile and some are just annoying. The neighborhood does have potential, which one doesn't? Change starts with the people who are there and where they see themselves in the future. Bushwick CAN be safe but that depends on who you ask. I worked @... EvilGentleman: 40 - When you get blizzards and bikinis, all in the same week. chiamattt: a friend was allowed through with some "illegal" cosmetics because the security official thought "I'll let you keep this, because I know how expensive it is". Perhaps the terrorists should take note and put their explosives in a Dior container. Jamie: I'd like to see more of St. Louis. I'm sure not all of the city is quite as clean cut as your photos portray. That's not to say i haven't enjoyed them though. Let's see more. Jamie: There's no substitute for a good tripod when it comes to night photography. Except for a good wall maybe. Nice shots C-man. I think my favourite is the pink house. Jamie: Nice slice of life. I have to say that from your recnt photos, St Louis to me appears clean, safe and almost quaint. Not at all dangerous. More photos of Jasper's Radio Museum please! blahh: This stuff is Mostly the talent of Almost Famous crew. if not some then they arent all. I see these a lot. Beacuse i live Hawaii maybetoday: I believe you're referring to the Morgan Quitno list of "Most Dangerous Cities" that's released every year. Every year both the FBI (source of the data) and criminologists around the nation decry using the FBI's data as a way to compare cities. MQ's methodology ranks all crimes the same... zilep: Bought a house in the heart of Bushwick- on Central avenue and Cornelia streets (one of those cookie cutter homes with all the meters showing- you know the ones the BROWNSTONER people love to hate). And i LOVE it! Not an ideal neighborhood my any means, but i like the... Previous Day :: Next Day |
