Previous Day :: Next Dayme: 'cause that's how i call my girlfriend, and i love her! serious: Ew. This is how serious killers start. Im sure some of you think this is funny, but wait and see, your mom will be in that block of ice. That man should be in a mental institution. EvilGentleman: I wonder how the damage occurred? The freezing and thawing cycle? Lightning? A malicious window-cleaner? A collision with a 50-pound pigeon? Someone opening the window between the lions and whacking icicles off of the lion's nose with a metal rod?
I think I need a life... METRO1 : GETTN UP 2006 Darren Gunn: I love this building. London has a new landmark that is unique. I am so proud to have this as part of my capital city. The architecht deserves any awards that are given.
Awesome!!!!!!!!!! S.D.: Rabit or Cat, That's a pretty sick stunt... EvilGentleman: Nice job, but the modesty needs a little work. Egotism is so distasteful. METRO1 : metro 1 graffiti artist 2006 METRO1 : metro 1 graffiti artist 2006 EvilGentleman: Yeah, as far as the real translation goes, I believe it would be:
Bong Place
Korean Food
But since you just said Bong means "room" Then I guess it is really
Place With Room
Multilingual translations, all done poorly, are just part and parcel of life in Montreal. METRO1 : Yo bri, your off the hook...Metro 1 HOBOKEN NJ BJD1976: Forget the frozen animal. When the hell did goth come back in? Everyone in those pics (apart from the wayward city children and the gomer-pyle "dad") is draped in something out of a very early 90s Cure concert. Micah: I can't wait to get back to Edmonton (18 days!) and take pictures of my commute! I've tried doing that here in Moncton but crappy camera + not much to photograph on the way to campus besides suburbs and cars = not worth making a post. This looks... Micah: In grades 11 and 12 I played in the school band and at year's end we played at the graduation ceremony at the Winspear Centre. Well, I believe it was in grade eleven that we were waiting in the equivalent of the green room before filing into the auditorium... little ukraine: very nice! chiamattt: It's korean food. "bong" in korean means "room". so I guess it's called "at room" or some bullshit. My franglais is rustier than that one way post. "mets Coreens" is "korean specialty"...I think.
Bong is pronounced "bang", the two biggest 'bang' things in korea are the 'pc bang' (internet room) and... Micah: Then there's the lawn ads on sticks, like they put on front lawns during political campaigns. They stick them in the ground on medians and other public grassy spaces where they won't have to pay for advertising. It's ugly! And useless, for the reason stated by Grange... Stacey: My type of place - although I wouldn't drink the water Catherine Penfold-Waxman: I eat rabbit and have had many rabbits as pets. And during the run up to Y2K (remember that?) we started referring to our two cats as livestock. But I'm very glad to hear the corpsicle wasn't a cat. GGP: i hate it when that happens!
but it seems to happen to a lot of stone lions, you know?
lisacat: nice! that vegetation looks really tight up against the wall... not much room to work in. Ming Jay: Who's gonna holla at chester leetos paypal account??? LOL lisacat: Imagine Faith the biped dog strolling on in! drea: hey nice! i didn't even notice the sushi checkmark! a'la: im LOVING your animal posts! :-D EvilGentleman: I think for me, it went from my imagining some child crying because some sick scumbag had killed their beloved kitty, to my now imagining some radical activist making a statement about lab testing on rabbits.
On the pro-rabbit side of things, I think it would be most appropriate to immediately... EvilGentleman: One of the most dintinguishing features of my cats was that three of them could bark. You see, when I was a toddler my parents had our cat, as well as a succession of dogs. For the first four years of our cat's life, the only creatures he saw with... Messege: 6 poppin 5 droppin fuck VL and anyone else under the 5 GGP: evilg--you're a riot!
as for the changed emotion re. bunny v. cat: I had a similar thought on the train today--slight adjustment downward in emotional intensity--still saddened, but somewhat less flipped out. These relationships to our animal kin are so inconsistent and irrational...it's interesting and strange. jeeff: we built this city on rock and roll colavito's ghost: this place looks WAY too familiar to me... Elicar: The title of the show was "Body World 2" not Bodyworks. (They say the mind is the second to go!). It ran from September to February 26, 2006. Elicar: Gunther von Hagens' work made me stay away from steak for awhile. "Bodyworks" was on exhibit at the Ontario Science Centre sometime last year. It was reviewed as over-rated.
EvilG!!! Peter: i love the big, red check-mark inside the circle that spells out "sushi". nice touch... reminds me of the big "thumbs up" on the No. 1 Kitchen sign, as if telling you that it is, indeed, ok to eat there... EvilGentleman: Aw darn! I thought I had stumbled across an Irish Sushi bar. Or maybe it is owned by an Irishman who is the son of a man named Sushi. I mean, there is an O'Toole and an O'Higgins, so why not O'Sushi? EvilGentleman: Oh, I dunno about that, elaine. I have eaten many a puss...
(my son walks by)
Son: Dad, what are you typing?
Me: Um, nothing.
Son: Have you eaten cats? Don't tell me you have eaten cats.
Me: Um... ... Sort of?
Son: What do you mean?
Me: Have you finished your homework yet?
Son: I thought you... ea: hehe! in japanese, putting "O" in front of a word signifies an honorific tense... ea: perhaps water tower shots really should be terrible quality such as these...proves you were movin by. because I mean a nice arty photo? while ironic, would suggest a tendency towards stopping on the interstate for highly questionable content ;) elaine: me too, evilgent, as far as i am concerned bunnies are food, but cats are not. elaine: good cull a'la: having a look at that article, dreams, it sure looks to me that the person quoted in it is the same person that posted this post. its come full-circle! ea: a most suspendedy bridge. in brunswick georgia
EvilGentleman: Thanks for the link, dreams. I learned a lot.
Now then... Does anyone else feel weird because they feel less offended by this, now that they know it is a rabbit? I know it suddenly has become a little less personal to me, and I cannot fully understand why, since I... eileen: that is beautiful unreal Amarula Dreams: It turns out it was a rabbit, not a cat.
www.nypost.com/news/regionalnews/64450.htm an impossible child: aw the hedgehog babies are soooooooooo sweeeeet! (imagine screeching highpitched noises of tenderness)
x elaine: that dog is freaky deaky. but that presenter should be sacked. he said 'most unique'. joey: you remember the warhol double silver elvis, right?
groovehouse: thankyouverymuch Mark: Cool Cat....not funny? I guess not. This is weird. Its an example of how some of us do absurd things. If this guy was caught I bet you he would then display remorse. If its art; then so is a runny crap in the middle of union square on a... Laura : My mom always sang that song when we drove past those condominium complexes along the turnpike. Thanks for reminding me of a nice memory :) MOSE ONE: WEST PALM BRO..maybe they just try to rep it,I dunno, but they put it up none the less...if there not in it,I dont care, but I thought I would bring it up! An Anonymous Coward: Everyone clings to Damien Hirst, and yet Gunther von Hagens is not mentioned? For shame!!
www.livescience.com/humanbiology . . . gy/060224_body_world.html
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gunther_von_Hagens anon: Btw. many people find DAMIEN HIRST to be sick! I do not believe that his work should be called art. This is a sad excuse for his fucked up behaviour. Just because he does it does mean that his work is respected.
After seven years in various art schools, obtaining... S: I've seen this guy at the Collingwood Elvis festival. I can assure you that I've seen a lot worse. Scott: The Maple Leaf Tavern is terrific. I've been going there for years, and my friend Nick and I had an amazing art/circus/music event there.
Chris the bartender is the best. lisacat: I've got to get out of town more! Beautiful sky. lisacat:
see above post! duh...
lisacat: [[10879]]
The {cat} version taken in {Central Park}! I always worry about little {dogs} when they're being walked on the street. One misstep and they're squished. If I had one I'd definitely use one of these "papooses."
www.barcshelter.org drea: That's such a cute picture. sine: pulling the book together now, in the beginning stages. all input is appreciated! jeeff: galaxy - here! Previous Day :: Next Day |
