Jamie: me too, this has inspired me to go out and shoot stuff with my lomo.

in response to Chicago

Peter: I really like the crackly yellow-painted overpass arches in the first two pictures; They're vaguely Romanesque.

Jamie:

in response to Northern Ireland is the most intrguing of places

Jamie: Anti-RUC (police) mural, West Belfast

keight: gorgeous!

in response to Chicago

Jamie: I'd never even thought of posting these. They seem... normal to me. Everyday scenes. That's pretty fucked up right?

in response to Urban Street Propoganda

Peter: wow, these are pretty intense.

in response to Urban Street Propoganda

ian: Houston. Hermann Park straddles a gritty neigborhood on the east and a fairly posh one on the west. I've always thought these stables were an incredible oddity, given it's right near downtown.. I guess depressed innercity land prices for the past 30 years made this urban/rural juxtaposition.

in response to Urban Street Propoganda

Jamie: things like "Brits Out!" and "Die British Scum!" it's all in the spirit of good fun ;)

in response to Urban Street Propoganda

Jamie: i like urbanism

in response to Abstract Manhattan Facades:

Peter: I'm eager to see pics of this street-art; especially if its "not in good spirits", heh.

in response to Abstract Manhattan Facades:

Jamie: I could take that up as a hobby here in Fermanagh, Northern ireland... on second thoughts, maybe not, it might be seen as propoganda of some sort. There is a lot of colorful street art here in northern ireland, though it not generally in good spirit as i'm sure you can...

in response to Abstract Manhattan Facades:

Peter: can you find any jpegs?

in response to Luna Park: Coney Island

moebius: ...reminds me of the history of a San Francisco entertainment palace that also went down in flames: the Sutro Baths. (hope these comments handle HTML...)

in response to Luna Park: Coney Island

Peter: that second painted flower is ALL OVER streets on the lower east side; probably on every corner. theres a chalk artist 'de la vega" who scrawls his poems and charicatures all over.
