ian: Houston. Hermann Park straddles a gritty neigborhood on the east and a fairly posh one on the west. I've always thought these stables were an incredible oddity, given it's right near downtown.. I guess depressed innercity land prices for the past 30 years made this urban/rural juxtaposition.

Jamie: I could take that up as a hobby here in Fermanagh, Northern ireland... on second thoughts, maybe not, it might be seen as propoganda of some sort. There is a lot of colorful street art here in northern ireland, though it not generally in good spirit as i'm sure you can...

Peter: that second painted flower is ALL OVER streets on the lower east side; probably on every corner. theres a chalk artist 'de la vega" who scrawls his poems and charicatures all over.
