It seems that in every city I visit, there's at least one apparently schizophrenic individual who travels the streets with hand-scrawled signs filled with biblical references, rants about sin, and just plain nonsense. Proud Mary's Crazy Talk in Philly is a good example. Here's one I spotted this weekend in Milwaukee. This phenomenon intrigues me to no end. What compels these individuals to chose this specific type of aesthetic dissemination method? Are they aware of each other? Is there some sort of underground "crazy sign" social network?

Since and white flight occurred after World War II, much of the neighborhood has become blighted. However many sections are quite healthy, with large populations of Puerto Ricans and other Hispanics locating here in the past few decades and investing heavily in the area. There’s also been a large influx in recent...

Sell Out Lawyer

Spotted in a cab from 31st & Chestnut. The driver had quite a personality. Never got the chance to ask about the lawyer though, but I'll be sure not to give Mr. Newman my business.
