This picture really doesn't do his outfit justice. This guy walks the streets of Center City with a snazzed-out penny vest, penny hat, and penny cane (along with other assorted coins and buttons). Now that's style that makes cents!

Norris & Mascher in Kensington. The ubiquitous Chinese take-out corner store which doesn't sell much in the way of Chinese food...mostly blunts, candy bars, cigarettes, and calling cards. A bread delivery truck was spotted parked outside (there's a bodega on the opposite corner). In the "food deserts" of the inner-city, lack of access to fresh produce leads to high rates of obesity. There's a phrase used in Philly called "black-bagging it". Children stop in the corner store on their way to school and get chips, soda, and Tastykakes (Little Debbies), and that's their lunch for the day.
