Fresh fava beans are delicious...
...but they have a tough, leathery skin around each bean that is a bit tedious to remove
So I parboil them; 3 minutes in salted water (about as salty as seawater) then into a bowl of
ice-water for a minute or two until the skin can be easily pinched off
Sans skin, the beans can be eaten as-is, sauteed, added to a salad or a sauce, etc. Delicious!

This past weekend, I took the ferry to Governors Island from Lower Manhattan to see

terminal, at South Ferry (Manhattan)

17 State Street is a 42-story building in the Financial District, Manhattan. Completed in 1988, the building rises to 542 ft (165 m). The bottom floors of the skyscraper are home to New York Unearthed, an urban archaeology museum with approximately two million artifacts from local excavation sites. The museum was originally included as a concession to the New York Landmarks Preservation Commission, who had been unable to perform an archaeological survey of the site before construction began.
