Though it's since been buffed, I spotted this at the corner of Troutman and Knickerbocker in Bushwick. It seems to pretty well sum up some past sentiments for that area of the neighborhood...

A Volkswagen Bus parked under the elevated subway track at the corner of Bushwick and Myrtle Avenues... I think someone was living in the van, as it was jostling around and there were curtains drawn around the whole area behind hte driving compartment...

This is the Queens-bound J/M subway platform at Fulton Street where I catch the train back to Brooklyn each day...

Each day, I commute through the World Trade Center site to connect from the subway to the Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH) train...
Vesey street and Greenwich, with signs indicating detours and the constantly changing traffic flow due to reconstruction...
Heading east, braving the flow of oncoming commuters headed back to New Jersey... you cana see the spire of St. Paul's Chapel in the distance...

Looking southwest, directly over the WTC site...
Looking south on Broadway...
Looking east on Fulton street, which has been closed for years so that hey can do infrasctructure/electrical/sewer/etc repair under the street...
