Cactus by Van Fischer seems to be a work that is hidden in plain sight in Montreal. Residing on rue Sherbrooke, it's not particularly out of the way, but when asked locals knew next to nothing about the thing. Google doesn't yield much info on it either. The placement is pretty incongruous, especially given the absolutely hideous it's pictured in front of here and the variety of buildings along Sherbrooke. Any extra background or details on the statue would be gratefully received!
