Eastern Australia recently experienced some of the worst dust storms for many years. The drought, coupled with sporadic bushfires has made conditions less than pleasant for several weeks now.

Today, amidst the haze of the waning dust storm that has enveloped most of the east coast of Australia for the last few days, the big birds in the sky put on a show for us to mark the 10th anniversary of the Strand rebuild, after it was wiped out by tropical cyclone Tessi.
First up was our home-grown aero-acrobats, The Roulettes:

I went for a walk down to the river yesterday. This is what I saw.
Huge red-backed spider sculpture.
Kookaburra.
Exterior of relatively new cricket/football club.
Building...something.

View from the balcony overlooking Victoria Bridge, one of only two swing bridges in Australia.
On my way out I wandered about the interior of the rest of the building which was basically a neglected office building that had been taken over by various artists and other enterprises.
