My series on Cleveland drawing near to a close, I turn my attention to the two prominent bodies of water that are inseparablye linked to the city.
these piers are up near Edgewater Park, I believe, across from some gaudy mansions that some have dubbed Cleveland's "Atrocity Exhibition"
essential Cleveland. its four tallest buildings. Jacobs field. and if you look closely, the wall with all the graffiti featured in my previous post - the yellow elephant and the giant "Arpe Ridl Ariz" being its most distinguishable features.

At last we wrap up our trip to the coast guard station. In the back storage room there are odd plates strewn about.
If you look closely on this map you can see that there was actually a ferry shuttle from another, larger pier to this building. Presumably this was the closest available parking location for would-be restaurant patrons.
Still to come: Cleveland's Bridges, The Piers in Edgewater Park, the Cleveland Skyline, and Cleveland Graffiti.

This is probably my favorite set from the whole trip. Through the window we have a partial view of the Cleveland skyline. That's Key Tower in the center there, which, at 947 feet, is the tallest building between New York and Chicago. Just to its right is the BP Tower.

Upon entering, we notice this piece on the wall to the right...
If you had to pick one word to describe the inside of the station, "debris" would probably be a good one.
