These Anthony Gormley figures have been appearing on rooftops all over the Southbank, to coincide with the exhibition at the Hayward gallery. Apparently. some people have been calling emergency services to report suspected suicide attempts.
To me, they look more like sentries looking mournfully out across the Thames.
And I sure wish I'd seen how they got this building covered in grass....
Painted on the end of terrace houses in Deptford, South-East London. Although its in a market street, its quite a run down area , so as well as providing some colour Its just great to think some council official must have given permission for this!
