My parents are out of town. I've recieved several text messages, the latest being from the mountains of New Hampshire. It seems they are touring the eastern coast of America, so in their absence, i have decided to make use of their ample home. I like coming back here every now an then, if only for my favourite local kebaberry
This evening, feeling slothful, i ordered in. Delivery took an astonishing hour and a half and was eventually accomplished by a rather small and put upon looking fellow with a customarily loose grasp of english - and mathematics.

Chips for lunch today. The attention of the ducks was being monopolized by a group of small children on the other side of the river. There were no hungry ducks making sweet love in the bushes this afternoon. Too busy eating stale bread no doubt.

Darkness fell and the building in the above montage took on an iridescent quality that i wanted to document. I hadn't set out on my walk with photographic intentions but my camera was in my jacket pocket so i moved a little closer to experiment with the exposure modes of my new camera.
I have a...

And so I find myself, once again living in the country. In an historic market town in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Today just as it was in Roman times, Horncastle is one of those nowhere-in-particular places. The Romans built the fort of Banovallum here sometime time during the last quarter of the third century. The exact purpose of the fort is a matter of contention as it lay neither on nor near to any major roman roads of its time. Despite its remote location, the walls were an outstanding 12 feet thick, and are estimated to have been...
