most of you have seen this church many times as you enter the holland tunnel.
stuck in traffic as usual going into the tunnel.
i took a photo of the tunnel entrance but then i saw the sign, 'no picture taking' so i had to kill the shot, somehow we all must suffer for security but it is homeland security that is most important, that helps keep us safe.

heard on the telephone pole wire that a relative in california was talking about the warm weather in san diego and how it is going to get cold up north and so one telephone pole told another telephone pole and another and so on and so forth and all the telephone poles in jersey started walking to california for the warmth.

prison. off the turnpike at route 78. a human being, in a small cell, and when the iron gate door slams shut the sound resonates in their heads. why do people commit crimes? why do we hurt each other? does a person behind bars change when they get out or are they still locked up in passions. life is hard.
i pass this place everyday yet i still think of the people in there. when they are in their own element they act big and tough, but when the gate shuts with a clang...

there she was, playing her guitar and singing, she was like a nightingale, alone, we made eye contact and i winked and she smiled. she was a vision of the 60's, a wanderer, a street minstrel, a time, long ago, when my friend tommy and i walked the streets of the village, i almost saw my friend there for a second but my daughters baby brought me back to reality, to the reality that my friend was dead and i was a grandpa and as i gazed into my little ones eyes i forgot about my youth and i concentrated...

this is an old restaurant, it was owned by a women who had a sign posted outside saying, 'we do not like men, but you can come inside,' yes, it was a lesbian hangout in the 40's called, 'swing rendezvous', then it became the, 'underground', in 1967 with it's psychedelic lighting, where i once had a scotch with friends. the restaurant is ground level and the club is in the celler. now it's the comedy celler where jon stewart and jerry seinfeld performed, but watch out, the bathrooms are in the club and you have to pass in front...
