does anyone here see the little girl in this photo. it's saturday, on 14th street, the people, the stores, john's bargain store (gone now), the union shops, there were a few temporary office buildings where people would stand outside the windows and watch the job availables rotate on a blackboard, got many jobs as a part-time waiter, taxi driver, and the best job ever, a male escort.

found this dead seagull as i was endangering myself on the muddy slopes at the edge of the bay by the dumps, dumped dead bird, so if you call a bird that flies over the sea a seagull, then what do you call a bird that flies over the bay,......
faraway the mighty intrepid in need of repairs, a great ship, that housed several generations of strong, young men and women, who are now elderly parents and grandparents and great grandparents, men and women come and go but the mighty steel ships lasts forever.

a lonely place, barren now but in summer there are flowers and warmth. beautiful, wonderful summer, where are you, can i join you there, wherever you are, come back to us. of course we shouldn't complain, with the nice weather we have been having, i just bought a snow thrower with tracks on it, one of those really big jobs, that can throw snow 50 feet, that can cut through 6' of snow, power, power for the snow, the white, clean snow.

sun and some clouds, no precipitation, winds from northeast, overall a pleasant day over bayonne, oops the verrazano bridge where travolta jumped off of, where several men died when building it, where the old streets below with cobblestones and small sidewalks and cute little homes once existed long before the developers decided to build this thing and which they said they would charge 50 cents for until they recover the cost and now we pay $9 to ride over and where is the money going i ask you, naturally into some crooked politicians pockets. when i returned from overseas...

i have always loved these old buildings near the tunnel. always wanted to get an apartment there because my friend tom and i would cruise uptown and go to the inner circle, a little bar in the 60's streets where all the hippest kids went to and we always picked up a broad or two and would try to find a place to make out but the city can be rough at 3 am so the other guys heard about the apartment (which i will refer to as the 'pad') and they all chimed in we will bring all...

west third street has always been a quirky kind of street. i think it was more alive back in 60 (oh my gosh that's over 40 years ago) when kids like me ran into the city for a saturday in the village, in the parks, running around looking in store windows, trying on clothes, looking at girls, trying to get telephone numbers, looking at girls, listening to dion and the everly brothers, hippies and flower people, guitars and singing folk songs, and did i mention looking at girls? well it was cool then, very bohemian, and in a...
