Coney Island and the Bank That Is Coming Down

author: jack : Brooklyn, NY

image 23395
last spring took some pic's but did not realize it would the last time taking pic's of the amusement area, caught a model posing in a shoot, saw the bridge, the city and finally the deutsch bank which made headlines recently due to the death of a firefighter, i never really liked the bank because it broke up cedar street which had a great history, the old apartments where edgar poe once lived, the firehouse bar, a greasey coffee shop, besides it forced me to walk around an extra block to get to my job at 130 cedar street, and...

Last Weeks of Summer from My Terrace.

author: jack : Flemington, NJ

image 23371
i know very soon things will change, so before they do all of you should look at your current surroundings and appreciate them for their limited time left, i looked at my surroundings and realized i never really thought about the way i placed the flowers and the surrounding beauty of my deck, my pipe, my music, a first fallen leaf, the evening creeping in, dusk, night, sleep tight and goodnight.

Superhero of Lambs, 'captain Sheep' and the Story of How He Found the End of the Cow.

author: jack : Flemington, NJ

image 23347
i never would have thought that i would be reporting on a sheep but some stories are too intense and unrealistic to have to simply pass them off as another animal story, and so here i was, walking around manure and sloshing through water mud holes in my low cut, water resilient, canvas topped farmers boots with optional brown soft velour and rustic laces, when i spotted this strange looking creature, tall, statuesque, and ugly as a camel, i new that this was a material that lined one of my fall coats but i just could'nt put a name to...

The Beach Part 5

author: jack : Avon, NJ

image 22804
sitting on the sands of the jersey shore watching all the people splashing and jumping into waves, airplanes fly by, the drone of the engine relaxes me and moves me to a time when i would hear the drone of other planes, planes of war, dangerous yet appealing, magnificent aircraft, the planes motors revving up for take off, circling the floyd bennet field, aircraft coming in from around the country, passing overhead, above me, as i lay in my carraige, looking at the clear blue sky from my little safe place, a baby, i remember the drone of the engines and...

The Beach, Part 6

author: jack : Avon, NJ

image 22795
my day at the beach. family day, fun day, parents and children enjoying the sea and sand together. fun day all day long listening to children jumping in waves and squealing with delight the ride to shore on a wave. beauty and happiness on every face. family day.

March in Manhattan

author: jack : New York, NY

image 22670
i took this shot last march in the city, i liked the tree limbs against the cement and steel and glass. i knew that spring was coming and eventually the summer wind, i love summer, now its august and the days are passing by swiftly, school will start soon, trick or treat, harvest time, pumkins, a christmas carol, christmas songs, warm chestnuts on the streets of manhattan, new years day, and old man winter, until i can wait for spring again.

Just Bee

The trees are in blossom and the bees are making the most of it. These guys were about an inch (2.5cm) long. The pics are not so great, but it was nice seeing the bees going about their business.
