The Menil Collection building. Italian architect, Renzo Piano designed this beautiful yet subtle building to house the magnificent permanent collection of John & Dominique de Menil, it was completed in 1987 and houses over 15,000 works of art, although at any given time only about 10% of it is on public display.
On a personal level The Menil Collection and it's surrounding buildings are my most revered and treasured locations in Houston. I spend a lot of time on its grounds, whether I am visiting the museums or just taking in its beauty. I can get lost in the Cy Twombly...

The Link-Lee Mansion in the Montrose neighborhood of Houston, Texas. This is the last of the remaining glorious homes that used to line Montrose Boulevard. The building now houses offices that belong to the University of St. Thomas.
