I know most people won't think this is anything special, but I thought it was downright awesome. I was filled with awe the entire time I watched this tree. It was just foggy enough to be creepy, and the lamp was just buzzing like a bee's nest the entire time. While I took the photo, I expected the entire tree to burst into flames, it was just that kind of night.

There Are No Monks Here

A few weeks ago, I visited the Cloisters for the first time. I think what I liked best about my experience was how quiet everyone was. Enjoy. A view from the park in which the Cloisters sits. Another view. One more. In the park, there were a group of older Slavic men strolling together. They were so perfect, their presence there really completed the scene for me. Of course, there is the matter of the stained glass windows. Beautiful.

Murder at Independence Hall

The city of brotherly love is one of my favorite cities, and one of the few towns the landmarks of which I've seen several times and never grow tired. I went there a few weeks ago, and found it hard to leave. Maybe I'm just a sap for early American history. Independence Hall. Independence Hall, again. Looking out from Independence Hall, in that room where they signed all the really important stuff. Same building, different window. I personally think "christmas" lights should be left up year round. Particularly in the summer, I mean then you can go outside and enjoy them. The moon, hiding from me.
