I have heard that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. The sun was out today, so I figured I may as well try to grasp the basics of how to photograph people. I hope my obvious attempt at copying (although at nowhere near the same level of skill) the style of hool does not offend.

I figure what could be more citynoise appropriate than a collection of photographers in the city?
I took these pics in Montreal's Chinatown yesterday. He looks to be so into this shot...
The wider context of the scene in Chinatown
On the outskirts of Old Montreal yesterday. This guy looks like he might be a fellow citynoise poster. I asked him what he was shooting, and he replied "Just random shots." The wall in front of him has a fire escape that is covered in graf that has been partially removed by the installation of new doorframes at each level. I will post...

Ok, babelfishing of sentence commencing...

It was a nice sunny day on Sunday, so the local police decided to spend it outside. They set up their radar guns in front of the Chinese restaurant down the street from my place and started snagging speeders as they went by. It was a very coordinated effort involving about 20 officers working in tandem. They would take turns operating the radar gun (range: 1000 m) while other officers would stand in the middle of the road and stop traffic, directing the speeders to pull into the parking lot, where they would be issued their tickets by other officers.

I know there has to be a story behind this, but darned if I can figure it out.
