Nostalgia Tripping Via Old Toronto Postcards

author: Derek Flack : Toronto, ON

Old postcards of Toronto might just provide me with the perfect way to satisfy my nostalgic desires for a glimpse of this city's history. And when they depict buildings that still exist, their power is all the more palpable, offering my limited imagination a picture of the past in the present. dglenn already has a cool post on this, so I'll do my best to avoid repetition of images! Avenue and Boor King and Queen at Roncesvalles Queen and Yonge McMaster University (now Royal Conservatory of Music) More @ www.blogto.com/city/2010/03/nostalgia_tripping_via_old_toronto_postcards/

It Isn't Easy Being Green

The city can be tough on trees. This one casts a great shadow but the tree itself doesn't look so hot. It's amazing how trees can grow around their own injuries, like sold liquid. This one saddens me.
