Most of the posts about Fredericton have been centred pretty much around the south side of the city so I figured I would get some pictures of the other side of the St. John River to even things out a bit.
The north side is pretty much residential with the exception of Main Street which is a pretty horrible array of strip malls and smaller box stores like Home Hardware and Shoppers Drug Marts. I guess it's the downtown of the area but it's pretty sad (I wasn't really able to get any pictures as I don't have a wide...

 A building.
A fire escape.
...With roof access.
I feel I have no other option but to climb.
Out of my way ugly 80s apartment tower, I want a view of downtown.
A short climb up a ladder to the other building's roof reveals a bit of downtown.
Having finished my mission, I make my way back down the stairs (scared shitless I must add due to my fear of heights).
Yes, I am aware that I have ugly shoes. My mom bought them for me for 8 bucks a couple months ago as my last pair were falling apart and I refused to buy a...

It appears that the graffiti in EvilGentleman's post has been replaced by some something new and flashier:
Today was a pretty crazy day. It started when my roommate took me to Chinatown to show me where to get cheap tofu and a redicilous amount of noodles for only $4.50. We came home and I took off on my bike. It took me awhile but I finally figured out how to get out og my neighbourhood while avoiding autoroute Decarie. I then ended up at Saint Joseph's Oratory where I took my self for a tour (pictures forthcoming)....

I'm not really sure where I was but while riding my bike from home, I criss-crossed across a piece of the city and found myself back onto Autoroute Decarie. I crossed over it on an overpass and saw a pathway going behind the houses. I followed it to this:
The highway as it chops through the neighbourhood:
Ah, progress.

It seems like everyone in this city recycles! The borough says the recuperation rate is only at 18% but there are blue boxes in front of almost every building around here!

Apparently this is the best place in the city to get a hotdog. Being a vegetarian I can't attest to this but I can say that the french fries are absolutely delicious!

Canada's first strip mall built in 1949. My eyes always tear up a bit with pride when looking at this beautiful first in mass consumerism.
