I caught this Lion watching over a caged wreath on 64th street between Park Avenue and Madison (I think).

Seeing air conditioners bristling out of every window surprised me when I first came to New York. They range in size and antiquity, and make summer in the city quite noisy, but bearable in the heat. Some of them have exposed vents made of very thin, malleable metal. When they are at street level, it's impossible not to poke at them.

Not a city. Not graffiti. Not abstract art.
Unlikely cat-like object.

I hate spam. I loathe it. I have a dream of being in a bar and the person next to me is bragging that they are a spammer and I turn into a red rage and bottle them -- there is blood everywhere, gouts of it splashing up the curtains and I'm screaming, "NOT IN MY INBOX." All this coming from a pacifist.
So I'm suprising myself by posting this penis enlargment spam e-mail:

I had to work Thanksgiving weekend. But all is not lost, I took some sneaky pictures from the hip in the taxi (as inspired by Elaine). A photolog of my Sunday journey to work.

Telephone poles have shoes. Bars have to make do with bras. This is the infamous Hogs and Heifers (Washington street and 13th Avenue). Many a girl has been conned out of her bra to have it draped on a moose head. I fear for the bar tender. What if there is a bravalanche?

If you see one of these in the Canyon, resist the urge to throw a rock, it is a an endangered species. Californian Condors in the Grand Canyon, May 2005. As taken by Mitch Waxman.
The engine of the propeller plane that didn't pitch us into the canyon (a huge recomendation).
