This school was the first thing I spotted when I drove into the sleepy town of Bazine, Kansas.
This is a field behind the school. Notice a complete lack of any signs of people or activities.
There is, though, scattered proof that something happens in Bazine, at least sometimes.
The road leading out of Bazine, back towards the highway, near the water tower in the distance.

The highwaqy runs straight through "downtown" Pauls Valley, Oklahoma
Pauls Valley, despite its small population seems abundant in both dried patches of grass and huge, blue skies

Main Street
Town's only church (Baptist)
Town Hall
Sylvan Dollar Social Club

Which was completely barren and boring
Except for the giant dollar-sign tiled into the bathroom floor

So closed-off and vacant for such a welcoming sight
This odd church/apartment building was situated directly across the highway
An open door?
Let's look inside. It's abandoned
Which seems to be the case for most of this town
Chairs with no one to sit in them
Which seems to be the running theme for Hutchinson, Kansas as a whole.
