A city bus and a truck collided in an accident on a Midtown Manhattan street that pinned a 26 year-old bicycle messenger. All that was left behind was the mangled wreck of a bike. The vehicles collided in the northbound lanes of Madison Avenue at East 40th Street just before 11:00 a.m. The bus was traveling north on Madison Avenue when it collided with the box truck. A bicycle messenger weaving through traffic, trying to pass between the truck and the bus, somehow ending up caught between the two. He was pinned into a space of six to nine inches between the...
