I grew up next to Coney Island & at first I thought the photo was of my mother & her dad! They looked similar. I was born in '58, so my memories of coney island were about that period.

wow i must be old .i remember coney island when it was pure and safe back in the 30s and 40s.me and my freinds used to sleep over the wkends on the beach my mother used to bring a big bag of sandwiches for us.bay 13 was our best bay. it was close to everything we loved.the food the rides just great .i would love to go back in time to those days of my childhood with my freinds who are mostley all gone now. so sad
