Air Show 26 September, 2009

Today, amidst the haze of the waning dust storm that has enveloped most of the east coast of Australia for the last few days, the big birds in the sky put on a show for us to mark the 10th anniversary of the rebuild, after it was wiped out by tropical cyclone Tessi.

First up was our home-grown aero-acrobats, The :

And last (before my battery ran out) but by far not least, it's the , the highlight of the day and cause for me to almost leave my skin at the beach:

After a quick run to mums' skirt as the Thunderbirds made their screaming entrance, this little tyke in the foreground quickly lost his inhibitions to the noise in utter awe.

nice! the turboprops in that first flick were FAST, i bet... the c17 and vintage copters are cool too :)
