Wow, what a waste. It looks fairly pretty there, with the sunshine and the landscaping, too.

Baxter terrace will always be to me the best place to grow up at..they can tear it down but they will never tear down the memories at Baxter Terrace.

luis arroyo: 21st Sep 2009 - 22:36 GMT

baxter terrace is being closed in phases one building at a time starting jan 2008. 3 buildings remain occupied. It will be replaced with a middle class income brownstone neighborhood.

i only lived in b.t for two years but i can tell you that i will miss this nieghborhood deeply, i have many memories there and spending my 7th and 8 th grade years there attending burnett street school. people are so ignorent, who ever said that newark is a bad place because everywhere has its flaws people just need to come to newark and actually mingle and they will see that newark is filled with loving and caring people

I bought drugs in Baxter Terrace for years. It was infested with Cocaine and Heroin. I ended up homeless and slept in the hallways there. No one cared. BT was a rough a place as I've ever been next to Seth boyden projects. I have a place in my heart for BT, but it is time to go. Good riddance Baxter Terrace. May love and peace be born where you die.

Lascoff Prescriptions

OK, after Sine's post, Prescriptions, it seems appropriate to post some Rx's of my own. This is from an institution, Lascoff . It's a classic apothecary, offering many cures, tinctures, and "analyses" in its day. I love this mortar...
