Here is a photo I took of an old ad that was uncovered after a row of stores was torn down after a fire destroyed them. The ad is located on the side of a building on Westchester Ave and Ferris Place in the Bronx. These ad is from probably at least 80 years ago. F.M Weiss was located at 120 Westchester Sq

Jamie, that depends on your background. I personally consider anything over 500 years (pre-European contact in these parts) to be ancient. But that is most likely due to my being Native, and thus having a much longer view of things.
Things that are 500 to about 150 years old, I consider to be "very old". From 150 years old to about 75 years old, I consider as just "old", and newer than 75 years old, I consider to be either "classic" or just "modern", depending on the style. Stone and/or art deco are classic to me, and chrome and glass are modern.
And for the record, I too, love seeing old ads like this one resurfacing to be seen once again. It's a window into a recently demised world that our parents or grandparents knew well.
